Denim-like knitted fabrics have been used to produce softer, cheaper, and more elastic clothes th... more Denim-like knitted fabrics have been used to produce softer, cheaper, and more elastic clothes than the clothes produced by woven denim fabrics. Lower dimensional stability and strength properties were the disadvantages of denim-like knitted fabrics. The aim of this study was to reach the more resistant fabric type to successive launderings without losing the attractive denim view. For this purpose eighteen different denim-like knitted fabrics were produced and exposured to successive launderings. The dimensional stabilities of the knitted fabrics were measured after each washing cycles. The total dimensional change of the fabric's dimensions and the structural properties were measured and evaluated after 3rd washing cycles. All of the test results were assessed by using the graphs and the statistical analysis.

Bu araştırmada kullanılacak numuneler, iplikler 35/2 Nm %100 akrilik olacak şekilde üretilmiştir.... more Bu araştırmada kullanılacak numuneler, iplikler 35/2 Nm %100 akrilik olacak şekilde üretilmiştir. İplikler [%40 Akrilik (2.75 dtex), %60 Akrilik (2,2 dtex)] karışım oranlarından oluşmakta ve bu liflere tow boyama işlemi uygulanmıştır. Bu elyaf boyama işleminde 2 grup oluşturularak 2 açık renkli elyaf, 2 orta renkli elyaf, 2 koyu renkli elyaf ve 2 süper koyu boyalı elyaf üretilmiş ve toplam 8 boyalı iplik elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen ipliklerden ribana ve düz örgü kumaşlar üretilmiştir. Elde edilen on altı numune üzerinde kalınlık, hava geçirgenliği, termal direnç, patlama mukavemeti ve iplik mukavemeti testleri yapılarak sıcaklık ve boyama sürelerinin boyama reçetelerine etkisi araştırılmıştır.

Garments produced from denim-like knitted fabrics have been popular for few years because of the ... more Garments produced from denim-like knitted fabrics have been popular for few years because of the many advantages of knitted fabrics. To increase the worn-look denim appearance of these fabrics, washing treatments should be carried out. In this experimental study eight different washing treatments were applied to denim-like knitted fabrics produced from 18 different fleecy yarns. The bursting strength test was applied to the samples obtained and their strength losses calculated. At the end of the study, the most suitable washing treatment for denim-like knitted fabrics was selected, and according to the treatments applied, the best fabric type was chosen.

Two different yarn counts and three different densities are used for the pile yarns of the sample blankets. In addition, the blankets are treated with three different softeners. The structural properties, thermal comfort, softness and durability of the eighteen samples are tested according to international standards. The aim of the study is to select the optimum softener type for the blankets which is convenient to the winter season. Therefore, the study data are analyzed by both graphs and statistical methods. Then the best convenient blanket is selected by optimization technique with statistical package program. The lack of detailed studies on warp knitted blankets in the literature is the primary feature of this study.

Denim viewed knitted fabrics are softer, cheaper, and more elastic than woven denim fabrics. Clot... more Denim viewed knitted fabrics are softer, cheaper, and more elastic than woven denim fabrics. Clothes which are produced by these fabrics adapt the body movement easily because of their flexible structure. Since these fabrics are produced with elastomeric yarn, their stretching property is quite high. Definitely, denim viewed knitted fabrics have to withstand to pressure during stretching. This resistance is defined in accordance with the bursting resistances of the fabrics. Therefore, in this study it is aimed to find out the relation between extension and bursting strength properties of denim viewed knitted fabrics. For this purpose eighteen different denim viewed knitted fabrics were produced and their extension and bursting strength tests were evaluated. Extension tests were performed by Titan tester by loop method along both widthwise and lengthwise and bursting strength tests were performed by Truburst tester. Since the bursting resistances of the fabrics are affected by elasticity of the fabrics, the correlation of this resistance and elasticity are investigated in this paper by assessing the test results graphically and statistically.

Twist per unit length changes the mechanical and performance properties of the yarn and the fabric structure. In this study, ring yarns were produced from polyester, viscose and polyester-viscose fibers in undyed and dyed forms and Ne 10, Ne 25 and Ne 40 counts and with 3, 3,5 and 4 twist coefficients. In the first part of the study, quality tests were performed on these yarns and the results were analyzed. Then, Ne 25 and Ne 40 yarns were transformed into single jersey fabric via a single bed SDL circular knitting machine. The fineness of the labaratory type knitting mill is not suitable for Ne 10 yarns therefore these yarns were not transformed into knitted samples. The obtained knitted fabrics were subjected to air permeability test in SDL Atlas air permeability tester. In the last part of the study, air permeability test was applied to the samples obtained from undyed yarns with Ne 25 from the produced fabrics at increasing pressure ranges. As a result of this study, the effect of twist coefficient on the air permeability of fabrics was tried to be determined. The results were analyzed through graphs and statistical programs.

Birim maliyete etki eden direk ve direk olmayan unsurlar vardır. Bir örme işletmesinde birim maliyete etki eden unsurlar hammadde, enerji, işçilik, amortisman, bakım ve terbiye maliyetleridir. Birim zamanda üretilecek örmekumaş miktarı, ürünün desenine, özelliklerine, kullanılan iplik özelliklerine, terbiye işlemlerinin çeşitlerine ve kullanılacak makineye göre değişim gösterir. Bu çalışmada genellikle serbest zaman giysilerini üretmek için kullanılan iki iplikli (astarlı/fleece)ve elastanlı örme kumaşların birim maliyetini saniyeler içinde yapabilen bir maliyet hesaplayıcısı tasarlanmıştır. Bu hesaplayıcı yazılımın arayüzü Delphi 7 programlama dilinde Windows'a uyumlu olarak yazılmıştır. Çalışmada sunulan yazılımın örme kumaş üretiminde çalışan sanayiciler ve akademisyenler açısından faydalı olacağı düşünülmektedir.

This paper reports the effect of loop length and raw material on the air permeability and the bur... more This paper reports the effect of loop length and raw material on the air permeability and the bursting strength of plain knitted fabrics. In this study, a series of plain knitted fabrics were produced on a circular knitting machine with cotton, polyester, acrylic and viscose by Ne 30/1 yarns. Each fabric type was produced with four different stitch lengths. All the fabrics were knitted at the same machine setting in order to determine the effect of their structure on the fabric properties. Their geometrical and physical properties were experimentally investigated. The influences of the loop length and the raw material on the number of the courses per cm, number of the wales per cm, loop shape factor, thickness, fabric unit weight, tightness factor, air permeability and bursting strength are analyzed. Statistical analysis indicates that raw material and loop length significantly parameters affect the air permeability and the bursting strength properties of the fabrics.

Intelligent textiles are materials that respond to these stimuli when they are interfered with external influences such as force, temperature, heat, light, chemical reactions, electricity, and magnetic. In the development of wearable systems, the integration of information and communication technologies into a garment or fabric is the most important goal. In this study, about design, engineering, science and technology interdisciplinary collaborative or interdisciplinary electronic textiles, smart textiles, clothes with nanotechnology codes; The concept of fashion intertwined with technology, original application project and current fashion design issues were mentioned. A flexible led and sensor caftan was designed within the scope of the study. The unique design of the kaftan, the grandeur of the selected fabrics and the motifs used for ornaments are highly effective. From this point of view, the T-shape in the Ottoman kaftans in terms of model kaftan, which the author designed from this point, is similar in terms of being brit in front and long-flashy arms. On the other hand, the modern line that the kaftan has to carry in order to conform to the ceremonies in which it is worn in today's conditions is seen in the original design. The product design, in which technology and design are applied together, is revealed.

For the purpose of enhance the ohmic contacts, we have utilizing Pt to act as ohmic contacts on p... more For the purpose of enhance the ohmic contacts, we have utilizing Pt to act as ohmic contacts on p-type phosphorus doped ZnO (Zn O:P) by a metal with h igh work function. The Pt oh mic contacts in terms of electrical property and thermal stability were reported in this paper. The ZnO films doped with 3 wt. % phosphorus (P) were produced by activating phosphorus doped ZnO (Zn O:P) thin films in air amb ient at 300℃, 400℃, 500℃, and 600℃ for 60 min without any catalyst. The activation energies of the phosphorus dopant in the p-type ZnO under air environment show that phosphorus replacement on the O-site co mpliance a deep level in the gap.

Giysi konforu konusundaki algı ve değerlendirmeler, ortam sıcaklığı ve bağıl nem gibi çevresel; giysi seçimi ve metabolik oran gibi kişisel etkenlere bağlıdır. Kişilerin algılarındaki farklılık, psikolojik durum, vücudun giysi ve çevre ile olan etkileşimlerini açıklayan fizyolojik faktörler, konforu etkileyen önemli parametreler olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, giysi konfor değerlendirmeleri ile ölçülebilen kumaş özellikleri arasındaki ilişkileri incelemek ve farklı materyal ile yapısal özelliklere sahip kumaşların konforla ilişkili özelliklerini değerlendirmektir. Bu çalışmada 18-24 yaş aralığında farklı bölümlerde eğitim gören 100 adet kız ve erkek üniversite öğrencilerinin giysi konforu beklentileri çok kapsamlı bir anket örneği ile analiz edilmiş ve elde edilen sonuçlar cinsiyet faktörü de esas alınarak istatistiksel paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre cinsiyet konfordan bağımsız bir parametredir.

Hemen her yaştan, meslekten ve cinsiyetten kullanıcısı bulunan denim giysileri işçi kıyafetinden günün her saatinde giyilebilen bir giysiye dönüştüren olgu ise modadır. Bu tarz kumaşlar gerek uygulanan farklı bitim işlemleri ile gerekse değiştirilen kesimleriyle her daim piyasada varlığını sürdürebilmiştir. Bu değişimlerden biri de üretilen denim görünümlü örgü kumaşlardır. Piyasada görmeye alıştığımız uzun bayan ve çocuk taytlarının geneli denim gibi görülse de üretim teknolojisi örgüdür. Bu çalışmada bir grup denim giysi kullanıcısıyla denim giysiler üzerinde bir anket yapılmış ve anket içerisinde verilen ürünlerin geleneksel denim giysiyle benzer özellikleri bulunmaya çalışılmıştır. There are elements that affect cost directly or indirectly. The direct elements, which affect cost in a knitting mill, are raw material cost, labor cost, energy cost, amortisation cost, fixation cost and treatment cost. The amount of knitted fabric which is produced in determined time depends on the fabric pattern, properties, yarn, finishing process and knitting machine. In this study, a cost calculater was designed that calculates in a few seconds the unit cost of the double-fleece knitted fabric which are generally used as leisure time garments. The interface of this software was carried out with computing lingo Delphi 7 to be computable with Windows operating system as well. It is thought that, the designed software should be useful to the industrialists and academics which work on knitting

Single jersey fabrics are the most common type among knitted fabrics. Their patterns are designed... more Single jersey fabrics are the most common type among knitted fabrics. Their patterns are designed by loops, tuck and float stitches and their combinations. The tuck stitch has important influences on fabric properties as it increases the fabric weight, thickness and width, and makes the fabric more porous than others. In this research 12 different circular knitted fabrics were produced with different numbers of tuck stitches and were also dyed. As the most important performance property for knitted fabrics, their bursting strength properties were investigated. The aim of the study was to examine the relation between the tuck stitches and bursting strength in circular knitted fabrics according to the number and location of tuck stitches in the pattern. To achieve the most correct result, graphics and statistical analyses were used.

(bzs. rnk.), tablo ; 29 cm.Bu tez kapsamında yaz mevsiminde kullanılabilecek örme denim kumaşlar tasarlanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında üretilen kumaşlar diyagonal iki iplikli ve elastanlıdır. Kumaşların ön yüzünde Ne 30/1 halat indigo boyalı ve % 100 pamuk ipliği kullanılmıştır. Kumaşların arka (iç) yüzünde ise Ne 30/1 ve Ne 20/1 olmak üzere 2 ayrı numarada ve pamuk, tencel, modal, bambu, viskon, polyester, modalpamuk (65-35), polyester-pamuk (65-35) ve polyester-viskon (65-35) olarak 9 farklı liften oluşan vorteksiplikleri kullanılmıştır. Üretilen kumaşlara ısıl konfor özelliklerini tespit etmek amacıyla hava geçirgenliği, su buharı geçirgenliği, ısıl direnç, ısıl iletkenlik ve ısıl soğurganlık testleri uygulanmıştır. The carpet weaving industry is an important sector all over the world and there are no regulation... more The carpet weaving industry is an important sector all over the world and there are no regulations about the noise of carpet weaving machines. Noise can cause a type of occupational disease if necessary, precautions are not taken. If the sound of the machine is not changed, the place of noisy machines can be changed in the mill to decrease the risk of danger originated by noise. In this study, 5 different carpet mills in Gaziantep, Türkiye were selected to detect the noise level randomly. The data were collected by using a noise measurement device positioned at a 1 m distance from the noise source. The measured values are compared to accepted values and necessary relocations of machines were made. In accordance with the noise-ambient measurement results weaving, carpet back coating, engraving, automation machines, and pneumatic table are found as noisy machines. Within these machines, engraving and weaving machines are the noisiest ones and there is a risk for the operators of engraving and weaving machines. At the end of the study, some suggestions to minimize the noise were given to the factories.
