RESUMO: No presente trabalho foi realizado o levantamento etnográfico sobre a Roda de São Gonçalo... more RESUMO: No presente trabalho foi realizado o levantamento etnográfico sobre a Roda de São Gonçalo do Amarante, um folguedo de caráter festivo e religioso realizado na comunidade quilombola de Lagoa das Emas. O objetivo foi compreender a trajetória histórica desta manifestação cultural no povoado da Lagoa das Emas e discutir o patrimônio material associado a ela. Além disso, buscou-se apresentar os agentes sociais responsáveis pela realização da roda de São Gonçalo em Lagoa das Emas (as cantadeiras e os mestres), e compreender as alterações sofridas ao longo do tempo através de suas narrativas e memórias. A presente pesquisa se enquadra no âmbito da arqueologia pública, promovendo um diálogo entre comunidade e pesquisador a acerca do patrimônio cultural Roda de São Gonçalo. Foram realizadas ações na quais as pessoas da comunidade assumem o papel de protagonistas, e responsáveis pela valorização e preservação de seu patrimônio cultural.
ABSTRACT: In the present paper, the ethnographic research about the Roda de São Gonçalo do Amarante was made, this celebration has a religious character is upheld by the Lagoa das Emas quilombola village. The objectve was to understand the trajectory of this historical manifestation at the Lagoa das Emas site and the artefacts associated to it. Besides we search to introduce the social agents responsible for the realization of the Roda de São Gonçalo in Lagoa das Emas (the masters and the singers), and understand the alterations that happened over time in the narratives and memory. The present research fits in the Public Archeology teorys, promoting a dialogue between the community and the researcher involving cultural patrimony of the Roda de São Gonçalo. It had been fulfilled actions in which the population assumes the role of protagonists, and is responsible for the preservation and validation of their cultural patrimony.
