The purpose of this study was to determine the current status of knowledge management in the cons... more The purpose of this study was to determine the current status of knowledge management in the construction industry; the references analyzed formulate theoretical links between the variables listed above, therefore this article organizes the material. The methodology employed is founded on a systematic literature review, a bibliometric search of the variables, and an analytical-synthetic procedure based on the classification of articles. The outcome is the formulation of the current state of the art, which schematizes the variables individually and their interrelation. This work contributes to the literature of knowledge management and project management by presenting these findings. To improve the performance of knowledge transfer and, consequently, the performance of projects, this study is also of importance to corporations and public bodies that manage projects in the construction industry.

La capacidad de absorción del conocimiento, las tecnologías de la información (TI) y el aprendiza... more La capacidad de absorción del conocimiento, las tecnologías de la información (TI) y el aprendizaje han sido estudiados por separado, y los resultados se han aplicado al mundo real; sin embargo, se requiere entender la interacción simultánea de las tres variables para avanzar en la teoría. En este contexto, la intención del estudio fue determinar la relación causal entre estos factores en las universidades, para lo cual se consideró una población de, 40489 estudiantes universitarios y una muestra probabilística de 655 estudiantes matriculados al año 2021 en las universidades de la región Cusco-Perú. El diseño de investigación corresponde a un no experimental de corte transversal. Concrete construction requires a formwork that shapes the structural sections and resists the con... more Concrete construction requires a formwork that shapes the structural sections and resists the concrete's weight, representing between 40% and 60% of the overall concrete costs, so the construction team must make cost-effective decisions throughout the project. This research compares the technical and economic performance, unit cost, and the number of metal and wood formwork applications in constructing shear walls in 80 single-family units assembled in 4 real estate units. To reach the yield value of 3,501.18m2, with the metal formwork, 31 uses were required at the cost of 5,873.13 USD; on the other hand, with the wood formwork, 51 uses were necessary at the cost of 14,289.79 USD. After 20 uses, comparing the wood formwork with the metal formwork, the latter was 66% more efficient.

Recent modifications to the higher education system aim to ensure an education with high levels o... more Recent modifications to the higher education system aim to ensure an education with high levels of employability; nevertheless, given the current economic climate, it is difficult for young professionals to launch their careers. In light of this circumstance, the authors of this research intend to identify and compare the talents that senior students, graduates, and professionals in civil engineering consider essential for entering the workforce. This study's data were gathered using a questionnaire survey completed by 243 individuals, and descriptive statistics were employed to characterize their perceptions. The results indicate that there are clear disparities in perception; also, it was shown that graduates have negative perceptions of their skills, which generates doubts about their ability to integrate into the market. This research is intriguing since it serves as a decision-making tool for the skills taught at the Professional School of Civil Engineering.

Peru is located in a seismically active location due to the interaction of the Nazca and South Am... more Peru is located in a seismically active location due to the interaction of the Nazca and South American plates, as well as surface faults that cause significant earthquakes across the continent. These seismic episodes generate seismic forces that affect structures, frequently resulting in substantial material and human losses in Peruvian sensitive buildings. Peru's most recent significant seismic events were in 2001 in Arequipa and 2007 in Pisco, with magnitudes of Mw 8.4 and 7.9, respectively. When these earthquakes happened, Peru lacked the instrumentation necessary to record them, and hence only a few sites documented them. As a result, the goal of building an accelerograph network at the National University of San Antonio Abad del Cusco's headquarters was proposed. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre la fidelización y la retención... more Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre la fidelización y la retención a través de un análisis factorial exploratorio, con la técnica de reducción de dimensiones y un análisis de regresión lineal múltiple para presentar la relación entre estas variables en una empresa líder de telecomunicaciones en el Perú. La investigación se aplica, con un enfoque cuantitativo, correlacional y con un diseño transversal no experimental. La población está representada por una muestra de 147 consumidores que pertenecen a la empresa líder en telecomunicaciones de Perú. La información se recogió mediante un cuestionario en línea. Los resultados muestran que existe una fuerte relación entre la fidelidad de los consumidores y la retención con una R=0,656. Se concluye que la empresa se debe enfocar en mejorar sus tecnologías de información y comunicaciones, la experiencia y las recompensas ofrecidas, para una mejor retención de los consumidores.
