
Tim Barber
I began working on April 2, 2014 as an engineer at Parametric Solutions, Inc. in Jupiter, FL. I devoted 8 years (2006-2014) as a graduate student at the University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI) in Tullahoma, TN, which is affiliated with the College of Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, under the supervision of Dr. Joseph Majdalani. In December 2014 I graduated with a PhD in Aerospace Engineering. My dissertation is entitled "Helical Models of the Bidirectional Vortex in a Conical Geometry." In May 2012, I completed the requirements for a MS with a thesis over hypersonic vehicle technology. Born and raised in Nashville, TN I received a BS in Mechanical Engineering in May 2006 from Tennessee Technological University (TTU) Cookeville, TN. My research interests include fluid dynamics, partial differential equations, and hypersonics.
