Technological variables cover all the features and functionality’s inherent to a Workflow product. Likewise, they include all technical requirements and documentation accompanying the product. Organization indicators encompass company aspects (such as the users using the tool, the implementation, the acceptance) as well as the supplying company (technical support, sales personnel). All these indicators were obtained from a study of each variable and indicator used to evaluate a Workflow tool, as defined as follows. A method is further proposed to examine these so as to obtain an integral evaluation on the Workflow software.

No se trata sólo del factor económico sino también del humano, pues se requiere contar con personal especializado para lograr estas labores. Como apoyo para la solución a estos planteamientos surgen los Sistemas Administradores de Contenido o m e j o r c o no c i d o s po r s u s s i g l a s e n i ng l é s c o m o C M S (C o nt e nt M a n a g e m e nt S y s te m s). E s t o s o f re c e n u n a s e ri e d e herramientas y funcionalidades muy poderosas, que ayudan de manera eficiente en todas las tareas relacionadas con la administración de contenido de portales. Su principal aporte es brindar beneficios a los usuarios responsables de un sitio Web, al facilitarles las creaciones de contenidos sin necesidad de tener un conocimiento previo en lenguajes de programación y diseño de páginas Web. El resultado del presente trabajo consolida una base conceptual sobre los CMS combinada con el resultado de una propuesta realizada en el sector bancario venezolano. Como resultado final se obtienen mediciones, que le otorgan valor agregado a la oferta que se le hace al cliente en relación a la calidad del servicio que se le presta bajo ambiente Web.

This was an exploratory research, in which semi-structured interviews were applied, that were used for determining the factors that may affect the introduction of CASE.Itcanbe concludedthat:theanalist's the negative attitude and the lack of aptitude; the consideration of CASE as a methodology; the autocratic management styie; more experienced the analist are more stubborn to use the CASE; the lack of plan for innovation introduction and the resistance change affect the adoption of the CASE.

Este artículo evidencia la aplicación de conceptos y principios fundamentales de la Ingeniería de... more Este artículo evidencia la aplicación de conceptos y principios fundamentales de la Ingeniería del Software, tales como proceso, metodología, tecnología, arquitecturas, entre otros. Enmarcados dentro del área de la Gestión del Conocimiento, la cual adolece de métodos formales y vías bien definidas que permitan sobrellevar con éxito las iniciativas emprendidas, la mayoría de las cuales deberían ser concretadas a través de sistemas apropiados. El propósito de este artículo es presentar la construcción de un Sistema de Gestión del Conocimiento para una organización venezolana-un centro de investigación-, a través de la aplicación de una propuesta metodológica sistémica que permite considerar los aspectos de diferente naturaleza involucrados en este tipo de proyectos. Se hace énfasis en las características de los principales resultados obtenidos a través del uso de esta propuesta, los cuales obedecen a un proceso de desarrollo bien definido, de carácter iterativo-incremental, sistémico y orientado a objetos.

Firstly, the background leading to the ponderation of the complexity in the process of developing complex and large-scale information systems is presented, followed by the comparison variables - efficiency and effectiveness - in the process of developing information systems and the software system itself. The methodologies studied are based on three different concepts: the MSA (Modern Structure Analysis) (Yourdon, 1989), IEM/ST-P (Incremental Evolutionary Methodology/Structured Techniques and Prototype) (Callaos, 1992) and USE CASE (Use Case Driven Approach) (Jacobson et al, 1992). Among the challenges to face in order to promote the use of techniques of formal verification in ... more Among the challenges to face in order to promote the use of techniques of formal verification in organizational environments, there is the possibility of offering the integration of features provided by a Model Transformation Language (MTL) as part of a tool very used by business analysts, and from which formal specifications of a model can be generated. This article presents the use of MTL ATLAS Transformation Language (ATL) as a transformation artefact within the domains of Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) and Communicating Sequential Processes + Time (CSP+T). It discusses the main difficulties encountered and the lessons learnt when building BTRANSFORMER; a tool developed for the Eclipse platform, which allows us to generate a formal specification in the CSP+T notation from a business process model designed with BPMN. This learning is valid for those who are interested in formalizing a Business Process Modelling Language (BPML) by means of a process calculus or another formal notation.
