The research implementation consisted of several stages: Preparation of fish bone meal, chemical characterization, physical characterization. The t test was used to see differences in treatment. The results of the research: chemical analysis of nano-calcium catfish bone flour revealed that it had a water content of 7.45%, ash 63.29%, protein 4.50%, lipid 2.95%, and carbohydrate 21.81%. Furthermore, both 33.15% calcined bone meal and the 32.16% non-calcined bone meal have calcium contents that meet the Quality I criterion. The findings of the physical characteristics test show nanoparticles in the uncalcined bone meal particle size, which is based on the percent number of 204.1 nm achieved with PI (degree of non-uniformity of particle distribution 0.403). The use of local culture in the community can be used as a source of learning science in schools.... more The use of local culture in the community can be used as a source of learning science in schools. This is one of the characteristics of the 2013 curriculum. However, the availability of local culture-oriented or ethnoscience-oriented chemistry books is not yet available in several schools in Pekalongan. This research aims to develop an ethnoscience-oriented chemical enrichment book by raising the typical food culture of Pekalongan. This research uses the Research and Development (R & D) method and the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, and Evaluate) model. Data collection techniques use interviews, validation, and questionnaires. The results of data validation processing used the Guttman scale, and the response data used a Likert scale. This study produced an ethnoscience-oriented chemical enrichment book by raising the typical food culture of Pekalongan consisting of 5 special food items and 7 chemical materials and validation by 4 validators with a percentage of 100% from material experts and 93.33% from media experts. In addition, the responses of teachers and students of SMA Islam YMI and SMA PGRI 2 Kajen were obtained with an average percentage of 90.25% from teachers and 88.54% from students. Thus, this book is included in the very good category and is suitable for use as additional chemical teaching materials.

This study aims to describe 1) the validity, reliability, and distribution of research instrument... more This study aims to describe 1) the validity, reliability, and distribution of research instrument data; 2) students' perceptions of the ability to understand chemical concepts in online learning based on indicators of stimulus, response, and evaluation of learning outcomes. Descriptive quantitative research method, data collection on 19 SMAIT students was selected by purposive sampling. Perception data was obtained through a questionnaire in the form of a google form containing 3 indicators and post-test data in the form of UTS scores. The results showed that the questionnaire instrument was valid and reliable as evidenced by the corrected item-total correlation of 9 statements, each of which had a value of more than 0.3 and a reliability value of 0.722 and the data were normally distributed. Perceptions of the ability to understand chemical concepts in online learning based on stimulus indicators 39.5% agree, 11.85% strongly agree and 47.32% are neutral. Perception-based on response indicators 63.17% agree 5.3% strongly agree. And Perception based on evaluation indicators 81.6% agree 13.15% strongly agree. The majority of students actively ask questions when there are unclear questions, can better understand the material after having discussions, become more confident when answering UTS questions, feel suitable for online chemistry learning during the pandemic.The results of this study can be used as a scientific reference for the online learning process.

Bioethanol is an alternative fuel to replace fossil fuels that are renewable and more environment... more Bioethanol is an alternative fuel to replace fossil fuels that are renewable and more environmentally friendly. One way to produce bioethanol is through microbial fermentation of starch-containing materials. Jackfruit straw waste contains high levels of carbohydrates and sugar to be used as raw material for making bioethanol. This research aims to optimize bioethanol production from jackfruit straw waste (Artocarpus heterophyllus) based on variations in the addition of a starter and the duration of the fermentation process. The research method used was an experimental method with quantitative data collection. Jackfruit straw waste was processed to yield an extract solution and fermented by using a starter. The produced bioethanol was separated by using distillation. Starter mass and fermentation time were varied to reach optimum yield. The type of yeast used is Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and the nutrition provided is urea. It was found that the optimum yeast mass was 40 grams with a distillate volume of 13.6 mL and an optimum fermentation time was 96 hours with a distillate yield of 15.2 ml. At the optimum condition, the volume of bioethanol distillate obtained was 30 ml. The distillation temperature used in this study was 70-78℃. The refractive index, density, and boiling point of bioethanol obtained under optimum conditions in this research were 1.35351, 0.36525 g/ml, and 71-72℃, respectively.

Chemistry learning is currently still dominated by memorizing textual concepts so that there is a... more Chemistry learning is currently still dominated by memorizing textual concepts so that there is a lack of students' interest and motivation in learning chemistry. The implementation of ICT literacy in STEAM project based learning is one of the learning innovations involving all aspects needed by students in 21 st century. This study aims to analysis the implementation of ICT literacy in STEAM project learning for measuring student's interest and motivation. The method used is descriptive quantitative, data collection on 79 students selected by purposive sampling. The research data was obtained through a questionnaire that containing 16 items. Based on result and discussion, students' motivation got the highest percentage on 88.4% in very high category, then students' interest got 84,3% in high category, and students' responses to the implementation of ICT literacy got the percentage 83.0% in high category. The results of regression analysis show that there is a very significant correlation (strong and positive) between ICT literacy and student interest and motivation. The implementation of ICT Literacy also provides significant test results for each regression coefficient, namely Y = 0.310-0.576 Interest + 1.493 Motivation. This shows that the ICT Literacy variable has a significant effect on student motivation, while the interest has an insignificant effect. Thus, the implementation of ICT literacy in STEAM project based learning is good for increase students' interest, motivation, and ICT literacy. These results can be used as innovations in the science learning process.

The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of problem solving through the flipped classroom model on the reaction rate material. The research method is descriptive quantitative in 34 students of MIPA 2 XI grade in one of the state high schools in Tangerang Regency. Information and communication technology or ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is gro... more Information and communication technology or ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is growing very rapidly. This has a tremendous impact on various sectors of life, one of which is education, then the application of ICT becomes a mandatory choice that must be applied. But the problem of technology still plays a small role in learning and teaching. This study aims to develop web-based learning media in Islamic and Science courses in the face of 21st-century challenges. The research and development method uses a 4D model by following the path of Thiagarajan et al. which has four stages, namely define, design, development, and disseminate, but researchers did not go through the disseminate stage. The assessment was done in the form of media and pedagogic validation, as well as limited trials by students of the 2015 chemistry education. Data analysis techniques on media and pedagogic validation using the Guttman scale, while limited trials using Likert scale scoring, with percentages interpreted according to Riduwan'scriteria. The results obtained in the media and pedagogic validation that the product developed is very good, then at the limited trial stage the percentage is 69% with good categories.

Roselle free radical inhibition was determined at variations in temperature and heating time of 40, 50, 60°C, and 5, 10, and 15 minutes. For dragon fruit peels 60, 80, 100°C and 5, 15, and 25 minutes. The functional drink formula consists of roselle extract and dragon fruit peel (50%: 50%), 65% sucrose. The inhibition ability of roselle extract and dragon fruit peel and functional drinks were tested using the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1- picrylhydrazyl) method. The method used is descriptive quantitative. A sample of 76 students was selected by purposive sampling at one of the senior high schools in Indonesia. Data was collected using a questionnaire instrument with ten items arranged based on a Likert scale based on student interest and motivation indicators on the acid-base titration concept. The instrument used was declared valid, and reliability was proven by a corrected item-total correlation of 10 items. Each of them has a value of more than 0.325. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui korelasi dan kontribusi dari kecerdasan emosional dan minat siswa terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran kimia. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian berlokasi di dua SMAN Kota Tangerang dengan populasi seluruh kelas X dan 300 siswa sebagai sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket kecerdasan emosional dan minat serta nilai ujian akhir semester 1 untuk data hasil belajar siswa.
