A field experiment on wheat (variety PBW-502) was conducted at the farm nursery, College of Forestry, SHUATS, Prayagraj during rabi seasons of 2018-19 and 2019-20. The experiment was conducted in factorial randomized block design and replicated thrice with three dates of sowing and five irrigation levels. The yield attributes (grain and biological yield) were significantly influenced by sowing dates and irrigation levels. The significantly highest grain and biological yield were recorded in crop sown on 15th November as compared to other dates of sowing. Among different irrigation levels, grain and biological yield were significantly more in I5 (CRI+ tillering + jointing + anthesis ...

Data has been taken from World Integrated Trade Solution (WITS) based on harmonised system (HS-2) including 11 products ranging from HS-50 to HS-60. Results indicate that India has attained comparative advantage from 7 products to only 8 Products While Vietnam has shown drastic improvement in textile products and has achieved comparative advantage from 2 products to 7 products during 2000 to 2016. Moreover, China has improved its comparative advantage from 9 products to all products. The study concluded that there are immense opportunities for Indian textile industry in world market as most of the products have shown positive growth of export.

About one-quarter of female infertility is caused by a problem with ovulation. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) accounts for more than 75% of cases of anovulatory infertility. PCOS is a disorder of chronically abnormal ovarian function and hyperandrogenism (abnormally elevated androgen levels) manifested by irregular menstrual cycles, polycystic ovaries, excess unwanted hair, obesity etc. A case of a female aged 21 years with irregular menses for the past 2 years diagnosed with PCOS and inability to conceive has been reported here. The case was worked out as per homoeopathic principles and individualised homoeopathic medicine, Pulsatilla nigricans (Puls. nig.) was prescribed and the patient responded positively and conceived

Nevertheless, the prognostic significance of other HPV-related biomarkers (ie, retinoblastoma protein [pRb], cyclin D1 [CD1], minichromosome maintenance protein [MCM2] and Ki-67) is unknown. OBJECTIVE To examine the association between HPV-related biomarkers and survival in adult patients with Barrett HGD and EAC. DESIGN, SETTING, AND PARTICIPANTS This retrospective case-control study examined the hypothesis that the HPV-related cell cycle markers (pRb, CD1, and Ki-67) and the viral surrogate marker (MCM2) may be associated with a favorable prognosis in Barrett HGD and EAC. Pretreatment biopsies were used for HPV DNA determination via polymerase chain reaction and immunohistochemistry for the HPV-related biomarkers. Recruitment of patients occurred in secondary and tertiary referral centers, with 151 patients assessed for eligibility. The study period was

Methods: interventional study with subjects as mothers with vaginal delivered newborns excluding preterm, VLBW/ LBW /IUGR babies, newborn with medical or surgical problems and whose child didn't survive Cases were pregnant women attending antenatal clinic of KRH (n=124) and controls were mothersdelivered at government hospital except KRH. (n=120). Mothers counseled antenatally and helped for initiation of breast feeding immediately after birth and again counseled individually at discharge, on follow up at end of1 st and 6months. In control group breast feeding practices were recorded at 1 and 6 months after birth without any counseling. Results: There were 76.8% (n=80) mothers who had early initiation of breast feedingin interventional groupcompared to 10.56% (n=12) in non-interventional group with odds ratio of 32. 93 and 83% mothers in interventional group were practicing EBF (p = 0.01) against only 63%, and 49% mothersat 1 and 6 months respectively in non-interventional group. Effect of counseling in cases for EBF was more in primiparous (70.83% and 91.30%) than in multiparous (29.16% and 60.41%) at 1 and 6 months respectively (p = 0.01and 0.04). Conclusion: counseling antenatally and at regular intervals significantly increase early initiation and sustainedexclusive breast feeding. This influence primiparous mothers more.

They were divided into two groups on the basis of site of lesion: extrahepatic (extra hepatic portal vein obstruction) and intrahepatic (chronic liver diseases). Results: Mean age of children with EHPVO (extra hepatic portal vein obstruction) was 4 years and 4 months while that of children with CLD (chronic liver diseases) mean age was 8 years and 4 months. Endoscopic findings in patients with EHPVO have severe grade of varices as compared to those with CLD. In patients with EHPVO, the most common USG finding was nonvisualisation of the main portal vein or either branch (75-85%). Portal vein cavernoma was seen in 75% of these patients. DNA was fluorescently end-labeled and gamma-radiation-induced DNA cleavage was examined using capillary electrophoresis with laser-induced fluorescence detection. Our findings provide evidence that gamma-radiation-induced DNA damage to end-labeled DNA is nonrandom and has a sequence preference. The degree of cleavage was quantified at each nucleotide, and we observed that preferential cleavage occurred at C nucleotides with lesser cleavage at G nucleotides, while being very low at T nucleotides. The differences in percentage cleavage at individual nucleotides ranged up to sixfold. The DNA sequences surrounding the most intense radiation-induced DNA cleavage sites were examined and a consensus sequence 5'-AGGC*C (where C* is the cleavage site) was found. The highest intensity gamma-radiation-induced DNA cleavage sites were found at the dinucl...

Bleomycin cleaves DNA at specific DNA sequences and recent genome-wide DNA sequencing specificity data indicated that the sequence 5'-RTGT*AY (where T* is the site of bleomycin cleavage, R is G/A and Y is T/C) is preferentially cleaved by bleomycin in human cells. Based on this DNA sequence, we constructed a plasmid clone to explore this bleomycin cleavage preference. By systematic variation of single nucleotides in the 5'-RTGT*AY sequence, we were able to investigate the effect of nucleotide changes on bleomycin cleavage efficiency. We observed that the preferred consensus DNA sequence for bleomycin cleavage in the plasmid clone was 5'-YYGT*AW (where W is A/T). The most highly cleaved sequence was 5'-TCGT*AT and, in fact, the seven most highly cleaved sequences conformed to the consensus sequence 5'-YYGT*AW. A comparison with genome-wide results was also performed and while the core sequence was similar in both environments, the surrounding nucleotides were different.
