Facebook is one of the most dominant online marketing tools with significant competence of providing speedy and continuous updates. Both existing and potential customers see social media as a channel which they have the opportunity to directly engage with the companies on real-time. Although social media proves to be a useful marketing tool for many companies it might lead to reputational damage. Therefore, this paper aims to find out the relationship between the use of Facebook and the market value of Fortune 500 companies. Facebook page data such as total number of likes, followers, people checked-in and people talking about the company as well as market value of companies were collected and analyzed. Findings show that there is a positive relationship between Facebook Page parameters such as likes, followers and talking about (except the number of individuals checked-in) and market value of the companies.
