Senni Timonen

Folklorist, specialised especially in Finnish-Karelian old poetry (in the so called Kalevala metre), published articles (on lyrics poetry and the themes around the Virgin Mary), a monography on lyric folk poetry and severel anthologies and source publications in co-operation with other researchers. Has worked as a senior researcher in the Finnish Literature Society, now retired and continues as an independent researcher.
