The constitutional principle of equality, liberty, fraternity is the pre-requisite for establishing a just democratic order in which Development of all without discrimination or oppression could thrive. Dalit women land rights is so far neglected area in the mainstream policy and legal discourse, de... more Dalit women land rights is so far neglected area in the mainstream policy and legal discourse, despite of the fact that dalit women (who listed as Scheduled Castes-SCs) are the worst affected victims of this caste ridden, patriarchal society across the indian sub-continent 1 . There are several welfare programmes, policies, legislations and budget provisions like Special Component Plan for the benefit of dalits, however, the appalling condition of dalit women are increasingly reported in many of the Indian states. The acute poverty and social, economic and political suppression that dalit women face have not been understood from their real life struggle and hence, the policies, programmes, legislations and budget provisions hardly reach to their benefit.
