It also aims to show the process of data mining and how it can help decision makers to make better decisions. An order is defined as a confirmed request by one party to another to buy, sell, deliver, or receive goods or services under specified terms and conditions. When accepted by the receiving party, an order becomes a legally binding contract. A literature review is done on data mining and data warehousing. Data warehouses are able to provide the information that top management of organisations need to make strategic decisions and consequently derive benefits that result from the activities that they undertake. The most important findings are the phases of data mining processes, which are highlighted by the developed model, and the importance of data warehousing and data mining. It can help to standardize data across the organization, a "single version of the truth". Practically, data warehousing and data mining is really useful for any organization which has huge amount of data. Data warehousing and data mining help regular (operational) databases to perform faster. Data mining help save billions of naira because of its ability to help make correct decisions. Data warehouses are able to provide the information that top management of organisations need to make strategic decisions and consequently derive benefits that result from the activities that they undertake. This paper also shows an alternative way of querying data. Instead of doing regular queries from regular databases, data mining goes further by extracting more useful information.
