The interdependency among major world stock markets has also increased. This paper examines the relationships between selected Asian and US stock markets. It covers the period, 19/10/1999 to 25/04/2008, using daily closing data of twelve stock markets to investigate. The research methodology employed includes testing for stationarity, implementation of the Granger Causality test and Johansen Cointegration test. Stock markets under study are found to be integrated. The degree of correlation between all the markets, but Japan, varies between moderate to high. The findings also prove that stock markets returns are not normally distributed. The time series understudy also show non-stationary patterns. The article investigates the role of exchange rate which influences both the net foreign institutional investments (FIIs) and the stock markets, using monthly data, from January 2008 to May 2018. The effects of real effective exchange rate are studied through non-linear ARDL co-integration. The long-run relationship is found in all the three models constructed. The results highlight the nature of FII flows in relation to exchange rate asymmetry. Real rupee depreciation has a long-run effect on their debt flows. The ‘adjustment asymmetry effect’ of exchange rate is found for equity flows in the long run. The similar effect is observed for the Nifty 50 model. Due to high volatility, even positive stock returns do not attract equity FII flows. In the short run, rupee depreciation in real terms negatively influences Nifty returns. The S&P 500 returns explain FII flows indicating information asymmetry. These ...

But still entrepreneurs here are continuously coming up with ideas, leading to the creation of such products/services which carry a great competitive advantage for them and thereby helping them to survive in this highly competitive business world. At the same time, this business world is becoming increasingly more complex. We see rapid advances in technology and most critically markets face rising chum and this causes an unprecedented rise in business failures today. Among many reasons to avoid this failure we recommend the Innovative Entrepreneurship to be the most important factor with which Indian companies can achieve competitive advantage and avoid the likely failures in future. Still Indian economy is factor driven and not innovation driven. So there are great obstacles in its way, due to which India is not able to unleash its innovative entrepreneurial potential to the fullest. The purpose of this paper is to identify the factors that act as positive forces of the innovative entrepreneurship in Indian scenario. We also focus on identifying the obstacles in the path of the said field and also attempt to identify the ways in which this innovative potential can be realised to the fullest.

Oil price affects Indian economy. A small rise in oil price leads to an increase in prices of goods and services. It is also affected by the exchange rate and effects stock market too. Here, we propose to study the co-movement of crude oil prices and volatility spillover affect on stock market and USD–INR rate of exchange. Daily data for the period from June 01, 2014 to August 31, 2016 of BSE S&P Sensex (Sensex), prices of crude oil and USD–INR rate of exchange are taken. We used multivariate GARCH model to identify spillover of volatility. Besides, doing descriptive statistics, Unit Root, Johansen Co-integration and correlation test, we also put Granger causality test. Volatility spillover between exchange rate, Sensex and crude oil prices are found to be significant and bidirectional. Affect of crude...

It specifically depends on the focus and commitment of the entrepreneur towards their venture, measuring their level of entrepreneurial intensity. This intensity, if high, can lead to greater organisational growth, societal benefits, etc. In Indian states like Jammu & Kashmir, where low GDP and high unemployment are major challenges, higher entrepreneurial intensity can prove to be a stepping stone. What role woman entrepreneurs can play in it is being continuously assessed by researchers on a growing scale. The present study assesses the level of intensity among the woman entrepreneurs of Jammu & Kashmir and suggests some measures to enhance the same. The results reveal that there is low entrepreneurial intensity among woman entrepreneurs ofthe state in terms oftheir innovativeness, risk-taking and autonomy.

Examples are: Wal-Mart, Nestle, Ferrari, Fiat, Ford, Hyundai, Nike, Virgin, Reliance, Wipro, Havells etc. Chowdary (2007) mentions the findings of the university of South Maine's Institute of Family Owned Business, which are quite revealing: some 35% of Fortune 500 companies are family controlled. Family business accounts for 50% of USA's GDP. They generate 60% of the country's employment and 78% of all new job creation. In India, family business groups like Tata, Birla Thapar, and Singhania etc. have dominated the private sector business even in British regime. As a result, many affiliated firms were established under these groups, headed by a family member.
