This approach completely corresponds to the basic perspectives of the 20th - 21st centuries Cognitive Linguistics. In this respect of special importance is semantic as well as derivational categorization of certain phenomena of reality conveyed by means of derivational word-clusters — complex units of predictive character.
The present thesis represents a research in the field of semantic and derivational categorization of pain in the English, Armenian and Russian languages.

of more importance is not the fact that the learners have good knowledge of the given language. More essential is how freely and skillfully they can apply grammar knowledge in speech. For this purpose, the system of exercises should be organized correctly and purposefully, including games and new conversational methods. Command on grammatical forms, structures, and rules should serve communication.

In this context, English carries
two types of influences of Armenian and German: positive (transposition) and negative (interference). To identify those influences, we have studied the category of nominal determination in the three languages.

The article represents the results of the associative experiment investigating the
peculiarities of the pain categorization in the English, Armenian and Russian languages.
Respondents are native speakers from the USA, Armenia and Russia, respectively.

This is one of the first attempts to investigate pain in linguistic perspective.
The research presents a study in lexical typology. It puts forward a methodology for multidimensional classification of the pain verbs and presents the results of its application to the data from English, Armenian and Russian Languages.
