Use of Liquid Organic Fertilizer from Kepok Banana Peel (Musa acuminata) on the Growth of Mustard Plants (Brassica juncea)

By using banana peels as fertilizer, it is hoped that organic waste can be reduced. This research aims to determine the effect of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) from kepok banana peel (Musa acuminata) on the growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea), using an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments with 4 replications, namely P0: control group (without banana peel waste LOF), P1 = 25 ml LOF, P2 = 50 ml LOF, P3 = 75 ml LOF, and P4 = 100 ml LOF. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, and wet weight. The research data were analyzed using the ANOVA test with a significance level of 5% followed by the DMRT/Duncan test to determine the differences in effects between treatments. Giving 75 ml of banana peel LOF had the most effective effect with an average plant height of 16.75 cm, an average number of leaves of 7, and an average wet weight of 2.25 gr. From the results of the ANOVA test, the plant height was 7.95, the number of leaves was 1.17, and the wet weight was 16.00. From the three parameters, it was found that Fcount>Ftable (2.87) so it was concluded that giving 75 ml LOF of kepok banana peel had a significant effect on the vegetative growth of mustard plants compared to other treatments, especially on the parameters of plant height and fresh weight.

There are still not many teachers who use varied methods. The problem seems to be that the use of learning media is very necessary for learning that involves student activities and attracts and pleases students so that students will gain good abilities. So the solution is that educators and students in the field must be able to develop activities, one of which is by making a herbarium and identifying it, so the learning objectives will be achieved perfectly. The implementation method in this training is by surveying, approaching the intended partner, and carrying out training and evaluation. The results of the questionnaire concluded that 100% of the trainees stated that this training activity was very useful because it was able to know how to make it so that it attracted the trainees to make it themselves.

Searching for the learning difficulties of students who have gone through lectures online needs to be done as anticipation and looking for solutions in the next lecture. This quantitative descriptive research was conducted in biology education study programs that have studied Plant Physiology in the 2020-2021 academic years. 56 respondents were given a questionnaire related to their difficulties during the online lectures. Learning difficulties in the external aspect were the slow internet network (58.90%) and the internal aspect was very difficult to focus on listening to online lectures if the room where the lecture was messy (58.90%). Physical and physical health profile, easy to get sore and sleepy during the course (57.10%). On the profile of academic learning, students find it more difficult to find textbooks during online lectures than during offline lectures (69.60%). The characteristics of the courses that affected the mastery of the material were the presence of many illustrations of physiological processes (30.40%) and complex concepts (30.40%). Lecturers and students work together to overcome these difficulties so as not to disrupt the overall course of lectures so that online lectures continue well.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to obtain information about content of scientific literacy... more Abstract The purpose of this study was to obtain information about content of scientific literacy that include four interrelated to that aspects of contexts, competencies, knowledge, and attitudes in high school Biology textbooks for 10 th grade used in schools. Analysis of Biology textbooks is necessary because most of the high school Biology teachers use this as a learning tool in classroom reference. The method used in this study is descriptive method by content analysis is to collect and analyze the content of textbooks are observed without giving any treatment on Biology textbooks for 10 th grade. The discussion focused on the explanation of scientific literacy component based framework adapted from the draft PISA 2015 consist of four interrelated aspects are the aspect of context, competencies, knowledge, and attitudes. Data analysis using descriptive statistics to calculate frequencies and percentages presented in graphs of the result of the content analysis of Biology textbooks. The result showed that the aspect of knowledge is the most dominating aspect of 68.8% of the entire book chapters, especially knowledge of the content in the chapter animal, whereas the least aspect is the aspect of attitudes that is equal 3.5%. In the aspect of context, the global scope is the most background knowledge in the Biology textbooks (83.6%) with the main discussion about natural resources (71%).

Masyarakat di desa Gekbrong, Jawa Barat juga demikian. Dengan pemberian penyuluhan kepada 18 warga yang tergabung dalam Kelompok Tani Gede Harepan, tim pengabdian telah melakukan edukasi untuk membantu warga mengenal dan memahami potensi tanaman yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai obat alami atau herbal. These microalgae are reported to have economic value as a producer of beta carotene, astaxanthin, and EPA fatty acids. The microalga was isolated from Pari Island, Jakarta. Sampling by streak plate method. This study aimed to obtain Dunaliella salina isolates for further exploration. The results obtained were, that three pure isolates MKA1, MKA2, and MKA3, were successfully purified. The three isolates showed oval-ovoid morphology and orange-pink pigmentation of the culture. Cultivation using seawater, glucose (10 g/L) and yeast extract (3 g/L) produced biomass of about 2.3 g/L and further optimization needs to be explored.

The purpose of the study was to determine the suitability of the material on the circulatory system and endocrine system in biology textbooks with the demands of competence in the curriculum. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kopo even semester in the 2019-2020 school year. The method used was a qualitative descriptive method using a questionnaire in the form of an online survey via Google form. The questionnaire was given to students who were learning online in mathematics. The population taken was all students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Kopo. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique that was a technique of determination and sampling determined by the researcher with certain considerations. The sample consisted of 30 students. The research instrument consisted of 20 statements that refer to indicators of resilience. The conclusion obtained was that the average mathematical resilience of male students is greater than female students, with the difference being 0.715 for male students and 0.713 for female students.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to obtain information about content of scientific literacy... more Abstract The purpose of this study was to obtain information about content of scientific literacy that include four interrelated to that aspects of contexts, competencies, knowledge, and attitudes in high school Biology textbooks for 10 th grade used in schools. Analysis of Biology textbooks is necessary because most of the high school Biology teachers use this as a learning tool in classroom reference. The method used in this study is descriptive method by content analysis is to collect and analyze the content of textbooks are observed without giving any treatment on Biology textbooks for 10 th grade. The discussion focused on the explanation of scientific literacy component based framework adapted from the draft PISA 2015 consist of four interrelated aspects are the aspect of context, competencies, knowledge, and attitudes. Data analysis using descriptive statistics to calculate frequencies and percentages presented in graphs of the result of the content analysis of Biology textbooks. The result showed that the aspect of knowledge is the most dominating aspect of 68.8% of the entire book chapters, especially knowledge of the content in the chapter animal, whereas the least aspect is the aspect of attitudes that is equal 3.5%. In the aspect of context, the global scope is the most background knowledge in the Biology textbooks (83.6%) with the main discussion about natural resources (71%).

Sebagian besar masyarakat belum mengetahui cara pengelolaannya, begitu juga dengan masyarakat perumahan Coco Garden Kabupaten Bogor yang langsung membuang limbah rumah tangga tanpa dipilah terlebih dahulu. Masyarakat di desa Gekbrong, Jawa Barat juga demikian. Dengan pemberian penyuluhan kepada 18 warga yang tergabung dalam Kelompok Tani Gede Harepan, tim pengabdian telah melakukan edukasi untuk membantu warga mengenal dan memahami potensi tanaman yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai obat alami atau herbal. Dunaliella salina is a microalga from the Chlorophyta group which is reported to be found in mang... more Dunaliella salina is a microalga from the Chlorophyta group which is reported to be found in mangrove forests. These microalgae are reported to have economic value as a producer of beta carotene, astaxanthin, and EPA fatty acids. The microalga was isolated from Pari Island, Jakarta. Sampling by streak plate method. This study aimed to obtain Dunaliella salina isolates for further exploration. The results obtained were, that three pure isolates MKA1, MKA2, and MKA3, were successfully purified. The three isolates showed oval-ovoid morphology and orange-pink pigmentation of the culture. Cultivation using seawater, glucose (10 g/L) and yeast extract (3 g/L) produced biomass of about 2.3 g/L and further optimization needs to be explored.

The purpose of the study was to determine the suitability of the material on the circulatory system and endocrine system in biology textbooks with the demands of competence in the curriculum. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kopo even semester in the 2019-2020 school year. The method used was a qualitative descriptive method using a questionnaire in the form of an online survey via Google form. The questionnaire was given to students who were learning online in mathematics. The population taken was all students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Kopo. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique that was a technique of determination and sampling determined by the researcher with certain considerations. The sample consisted of 30 students. The research instrument consisted of 20 statements that refer to indicators of resilience. The conclusion obtained was that the average mathematical resilience of male students is greater than female students, with the difference being 0.715 for male students and 0.713 for female students.
