Dr. Rana E. Jisr is an affiliated Professor at Grenoble School of Management, a Visiting Professor at Léonard De Vinci, a consultant at Ascensia University, Malta, and an Adjunct Professor at Woxsen University, India. Rana is also a certified trainer and adviser from Saville Assessment Company. Rana contributes to the knowledge management field through her work in research, with a particular interest in knowledge management, effectuation, organizational behavior, and leadership.
Rana has 10 publications in Scopus journals and her research agenda is oriented towards examining different business cases for gender-comprehensive and for developing leaders and entrepreneurs in the workplace.
Rana key areas of expertise are in creating stimulating lesson plans and recommend interesting, innovative resources.

Different studies on management innovation ,such as managerial activities, structures or practice... more Different studies on management innovation ,such as managerial activities, structures or practices, find it can be a source of competitive advantage. The current article is a review of management innovation at the organization level and examines the role of women leaders as a key antecedent. Due to its important role within organizations, women transformational and transactional leaders have a positive impact on management innovation. To be more precise, we focus on women leaders and examine transformational and transactional leadership. Additionally, as contextual variables such as level of education of the women leaders, may influence the effect of both styles of leadership, and management innovation,we examine its moderating role.Findings reveal that transformational and transactional women leaders contribute to management innovation.

In this study, we propose effectuation as a new dimension of tacit knowledge and empirically test a quantifiable model with 331 respondents in the service industry in Lebanon. So our objective is to discover whether this new dimension can enhance the potential of tacit knowledge in affecting innovation performance and thus can very likely be considered a development to the theory of tacit knowledge. Innovation is studied by scholars at different levels of analysis in firms, including gender. Some consider 'innovation' to be a revolution in the world of new ideas and concepts, where others focus on innovation adoption. In this effort to pursue the missing variables, it might be useful to adhere closely to Sarasvathy's (2001) concept by examining the role of effectuation between males and females through an in-depth quantitative study in a Lebanese media small and medium enterprises. In a paternalistic society, supported long-rooted habits and norms, this study seeks to examine gender innovation through the lens of effectuation, and whether this relationship leads to positive outcomes in the firm's performance and its innovative capability. The results clearly stand out with respect to effectuation and innovation in this media service enterprise.

So, we tried to show that a digital leader needs additional requirements to face the new challenges of working remotely. Furthermore, we think that good online communication skills with digital leaders draw a compelling composite picture of an effective working environment in a digital world.

Sharing of tacit knowledge and service innovation performance

This paper examines the relationships among tacit knowledge, knowledge sharing, and service innov... more This paper examines the relationships among tacit knowledge, knowledge sharing, and service innovation performance. To examine the relationships, we collected the survey data by targeting employees in a service industry, The Lebanese Broadcast Corporation International (LBCI) located in Lebanon (n = 162). It is a leading Lebanese and Arab television station. The results indicate that there exists a positive relationship between (1) tacit knowledge and service innovation performance; and (2) knowledge sharing and service innovation performance. Also, this study finds that knowledge sharing mediates the relationship between tacit knowledge and service innovation performance. The value of the current study is presented in examining the mediating role of knowledge sharing. Our findings suggest that firms could encourage and motivate their employees to share their knowledge in order to enhance service innovation performance.
