An old joke runs, "Two young fish are swimming along. A frog on a lily pad spots them and remarks, 'Hello boys! How's the water today?' The two young fish mumble something to the effect of 'Just fine, Grandma.' After they pass by, one young fish eyes the other and asks: 'What's water?'" Scientists, engineers, and medical professionals swim in the details of their technical work, the 'water': which includes experiments, inventions, treatments and cures with an intense focus. They are mostly oblivious to 'water', which comprises the funding, socio-cultural factors, ethics, political, legal/ intellectual property, religious views, economic, and cultural environment that shapes their work, making some of scientific advances possible while restricting others. In addition, the instruments and models designed for scientific experiments impose limits on what can be observed and understood. i

Thoughts transcend space and time. We can anticipate and imagine the future. Thoughts placed in a future time and space can become real. Eastern mysticism has known this for thousands of years, however, modern world is waking up to it now with advances in field of quantum biology.
The movie Interstellar presents love to ponder in a new light. In it, the scientist Brand is defending her theory of love as a force, not an abstract thought. “Maybe it means something more, something we can’t yet understand. Maybe it’s some evidence, some artifact of a higher dimension that we can’t consciously perceive. I’m drawn across the universe to someone I haven’t seen in a decade, who I know is probably dead. Love is the one thing we’re capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space. Maybe we should trust that, even if we can’t understand it.”

Lord Shiva was the first yogi who kept himself engaged in enabling the humans to attain higher levels of spiritual evolution. He was also the start point for the Hindu and Buddhist traditions and cultures. He still lives there, on mount Kailash, continuing his experiments and sharpening his capabilities, inventing ever new methods to give the human race more and more happiness.

This is similar to St. John’s Gospel, which states that, “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God”. Johannes Kepler, the great German mathematician and astrologer writes in his Music of the Spheres, “The earth hums a tune”. Ancient Indian rishis uttered secret syllables before administering lifesaving treatments and medicine. Edgar Cayce, the great modern-day mystic called sound ‘The Medicine of the Future’. The benefits of ultrasound in modern medicine are duly noted for a number of things, including the use in healing muscular injuries.
