La sordita, parziale o totale, e una situazione patologica che compromette seriamente la vita di ... more La sordita, parziale o totale, e una situazione patologica che compromette seriamente la vita di relazione e rischia di escludere da qualsiasi rete sociale gli individui che ne sono affetti. Uno dei pionieri dell’elaborazione di un sistema educativo innovativo e strutturato rivolto alle persone non udenti fu il sacerdote Filippo Smaldone che, nel 1885, fondo a Lecce, una citta all’estremo meridione d’Italia, una scuola gestita da una congregazione di suore, rivolte ai ragazzi con questa disabilita. Nonostante siano stati fatti molti passi avanti in questo settore, resta ancora molto da fare per praticare una vera e propria inclusione scolastica e sociale delle persone sorde. Un’adeguata formazione del personale della scuola e l’uso dei social media come mediatore didattico e sociale possono costituire un valido aiuto in questo percorso. Deafness, partial or total, is a pathological situation which seriously compromises relationships and those affected risk exclusion from every social network. One of the pioneers in developing an innovative and structured educational system for non-hearing people was the priest Filippo Smaldone. In 1885, in Lecce, a city in the far south of Italy, he founded a school run by a congregation of nuns, for young people with this disability. Even though much progress has been made in this sector, there is still much to be done if we are to achieve true and complete educational and social inclusion of deaf people. Based international organizations, especially the European Union, have, in different ways, encouraged the school to change their teaching strategies aiming the acquisition of valuable skills in the workplace and Italy, in particular, welcomed, with many national projects, this invitation. The spread of digital in schools enables interactive teaching, where the student is the protagonist and need to integrate knowledge of multiple areas and process them in order to put them in his daily routine. This article analyses the theme of evaluation in schools and its importance for the global growth... more This article analyses the theme of evaluation in schools and its importance for the global growth of students. The process of evaluation is not only an obligation which the teacher must carry out but also an important instrument which guides and enriches their teaching. It has great ethical significance because the teacher, must use evaluation as a means to understand the students’ strengths and weaknesses and consequently guide choices made to render their teaching fruitful. In the first part of the article different types of evaluation are listed and the modern evaluation for competences is analysed in particular. In this type of teaching the teacher is only a director of situations and a cultural mediator who evaluates how the students prepare themselves to face up to real life tasks. Since the 70s of last century, people started to talk about philosophy for children in order to i... more Since the 70s of last century, people started to talk about philosophy for children in order to improve students' ability to think through the philosophical dialogue. Nowadays we wonder whether it makes sense to talk about ethics and bioethics for positively influencing the civil life of pupils. It is certainly right, in fact, that the public school is secular, but it cannot be totally deprived of values. This problem cannot be solved with the study of Religion in school, but perhaps include activities of ethics and bioethics in the daily teaching can become a good habit. In the second part of the article, a teaching about environmental education is described. We tried a new protocol for the teaching of bioethics at school: we have combined the discussion, typical of BPhilosophy for Children^to BLife skills teaching.^In BLife skills teaching^the boys are faced with challenging situations in order to increase their skills. This activity was aimed to excite students about acquired many skills and to develop and share the lessons learned during the discussions of bioethics. The document on which these discussions were based is BThe Earth Charter^, an official document written at the invitation of the World Commission of the United Nations.
In questo lavoro e stata descritta la risposta scolastica italiana alla situazione pandemica, sia... more In questo lavoro e stata descritta la risposta scolastica italiana alla situazione pandemica, sia da un punto di vista legislativo che pedagogico e didattico. In particolare, e stata analizzata la tutela della privacy degli alunni, delle famiglie e degli insegnanti e gli strumenti legislativi messi in atto. E stata, altresi presa in considerazione la situazione della Regione Puglia, Italia, dove numerose decisioni sono state prese in pochi mesi, a seguito della seconda ondata. Alcune di queste sono risultate in contrasto con il Ministero dell’Istruzione nazionale. Per avere una visione di insieme piu completa, gli autori hanno anche posto l’attenzione sulla risonanza interiore che queste norme hanno avuto su due classi di Scuola secondaria di primo grado, usando la metodologia didattica del One Minute Paper. Among the alternative approaches which combined with the traditional didactic method proved effective are: Empirical approach Instead of having the concept explained by the educator, the students are provided with the data necessary to get to the concept by themselves.<br> The main aim of this didactic strategy is to promote ingenuity and resourcefulness as well as active participation and collaboration among students. Historical approach The students are instructed on the historical context in which mathematicians and scientists developed their theories and then asked to reproduce the line of reasoning which led them to their discoveries. However, learning of this subject is easy for everyone if it is connected to reality. In this article, the authors discuss this important issue, which is essential for the contemporary school of the inclusion. Lo studio della matematica risulta difficile per la maggior parte degli alunni e, in particolare per coloro che presentano bisogni educative speciali. Tuttavia, l'apprendimento di questa disciplina può risultare spontaneo e semplice per chiunque se essa è connessa al mondo reale. In questo articolo gli autori discutono questa importante tematica che è essenziale per la scuola inclusiva contemporanea.
