Pál Lővei PhD (1955): Art historian. Between 1979–2013 active on the field of protection of historic monuments (1992–2007: head of the research department of the National Office for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, Budapest). From 2013 research fellow of the Institute of Art History, Research Centre for the Humanities, Hungarian Academy of Sciences. 2014– President of the Scientific Committee of Art History of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. 2004–2008: the Hungarian supplementary member, 2008–2012: the Hungarian member of the Comite International d’Histoire l’Art (CIHA). Research fields: history of architecture, history of towns, protection of historic monuments, medieval tomb sculpture, cemeteries, medieval heraldry and sphragistics, history of world exhibitions.Email: [email protected]
