Tarihimizde ve kültürümüzde kendine mahsus bir yeri olan İstanbul, mûsikîmizde de müstesnâ bir ye... more Tarihimizde ve kültürümüzde kendine mahsus bir yeri olan İstanbul, mûsikîmizde de müstesnâ bir yere sahiptir. Hazırladığımız bu çalışmada, özellikle fethinden itibaren Türk mûsikîsinin gelişim imkanı bulduğu en önemli yer olan İstanbul'da dinî, resmî ve özel kurumların mûsikîmizin neşv ü nemâ bulduğu en önemli merkezler olduğunu tesbit ettik. Resmî kuruluşlar öncelikle mûsikînin nazarî tarafı ile ilgili önemli bir işlevi gerçekleştirmişlerdir. Günümüzde de bu tarihi zenginlik müzikologlarca akademik anlamda değerlendirilmektedir.

A palace University on Classical Turkish Music Education: Our study called Enderûn Mektebi is com... more A palace University on Classical Turkish Music Education: Our study called Enderûn Mektebi is composed of introduction, six parts and conclusion. Under introduction title of our referred study, meaning of the word Enderûn, usage aim and period of this word, institutions composing the under structure of it, some changes Enderûn Mektebi undergone during time, and important points in dissolution of the institution are included. Furthermore within this section, some particular concepts such as migration of the imperial (göç-i hümayun), devshirmeh (devşirme), old palace, birun(a part of the palace) and balcony (çıkma) are also mentioned superficially. In the first part of the six total parts, some information is given about the general characteristics of Enderun Mektebi, in the second part, notion of acemi oglanlari which is equivalent of the person undergone education is handled. In the third part qualifications and functions of the rooms composing the school are emphasized. In the fourth part, music education which is the main topic of our study is examined. In this respect, music education given at this institution is examined through various examples and in the following fifth part, information about the exercise system called meşk system applied in music education is given. In sixth part, general information is given about important music teachers and performers who were educated at Enderûn and worked as teacher at Enderûn. In the conclusion part composing the last part of our study, some results we found out in paralel with our research are given place.
