This is the very principle of so-called bioclimatic architecture. This is also true for hot and humid climates. But up to now, the lack of criteria to iden-tify the energy resources available in the environment and the level of performance of the technical solution has been a major obstacle. To solve this problem, this thesis has a double ambition. On one hand, we have developed new analysis criteria which make it possible to quantify the energy potentials of a site and on the other hand the bioclimatic performance of constructive solutions regarding these potentials. This new approach, adapted to a fully air-conditioned building in a hot and humid climate, gives an overview of the exploitable environmental resources and the capacity of the building to exploit these resources.
