The research paper is an attempt to identify the impact of the building's envelope on the overall energy consumption and the global warming potential as when it comes to construction planning; many hotels are focused on marketability and attracting business. It seeks to create awareness among architects, engineers and clients about the growing need for sustainability and the energy savings that can be done by the employment of energy efficient materials and practices within the building's envelope.
