Postumanesimo. Editorial Mímesis
The focus of this propose lies in the attempt to rethink the complex scenario
shaped by new conceptions of corporeality and technologies, from the standpoint of thebodies, nature and feminism, as well as the relations with others (humans and non-
humans) that feature posthumanism and new materialisms. In that sense, Rosi Braidotti offers a new conception of relationship with others with her “critical posthumanism”and her deleuzian “becoming-animal”, “becoming-earth” and “becoming-machine”. Tothink about these conceptions implies the necessity of reconsidered the vulnerable position of some human beings, animals and nature in relation to the technological products.
The ecological, materialist and anti-dualistic movement of New Materialism has
been considering the possibility of understanding and discovering new ways of
relationality between (among others) human and technology. In this atmosphere
emerged what we can call “New Materialist Informatics” that try to develop, hand to
hand with engineers, a new feminist technology. They try to confront the technological
change where bots, cobots and robots coexist in interfaces with (post)human bodies
and their environment. Thus, what are the new ways of intra-acting with technology?
Which are the alternative offered by Feminist Computing? Which are the new
conception of the bodies we manage in this context? These are questions that I would
try to answer in my presentation.
