This study was carried out to investigate the effects of zinc supplement in organic and mineral f... more This study was carried out to investigate the effects of zinc supplement in organic and mineral forms on spermatogenesis and fertility of mice. Seventy male mature mice in seven groups (control and 50,100, and 150 mg/kg of each form) with ten members in each group were studied in a 35 days period. At the end of period, the amount of seminiferous stem cells, primary spermatocytes, histological changes of epididymis slides, the amount of epididymal sperm and relative testis weight were measured. Fertility was also studied. Obtained data were analyzed using one way ANOVA and Duncan's test using SPSS program. According to results, testicular histology showed that testis weight was increased in 50 and 100 organic groups. The amount of stem cells and primary spermatocytes were increased significantly in 50 and 150 organic groups and all mineral groups. This resin is prepared from Boswellia carteri plant. The goal of this study was evaluating the effects of hydroalcoholic extract of Frankincense on pituitary-gonadal axis of mice. Mice were divided into five groups including control, placebo, and three experimental groups with 10 members in each group. Control group did not receive any drug and experimental groups received intraperitoneal injections of 50, 100, and 200 mg/mg of the extract for 20 days every other day. Blood samples were taken at the end of injection period. FSH, LH, estrogen and progesterone hormones were measured. Obtained results were analyzed using SPSS program in a one way analysis of variance and means were compared using Duncan test at 5% probability level. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of chamomile extract in comparison with a... more The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of chamomile extract in comparison with ampicillin on parameters of reproductive system in male mice treated with E. coli LPS. In this study, 65 adult male mice were divided into 6 groups. Control, LPS, LPS+ampicillin, LPS+chamomile extract 50 mg/kg, LPS+chamomile extract 100 mg/kg and LPS+chamomile extract 200 mg/kg. IP injection were performed for 20 days and the fertility of each group was evaluated. The results of hormonal tests of each group were compared with the control group. The results showed no significant difference between the mean FSH level of the treatment groups and that of control group (p<0.05). The mean LH level of LPS group decreased significantly compared to that of control group (P≤0.05). The mean level of testosterone in chamomile extract group 200 mg/kg and ampicillin group was significantly higher than that in control group (p≤0.05). Given these results, while LPS can reduce male fertility potential, treatment of samples with chamomile extract in all three doses of 50, 100 and 200 can reduce the effects of LPS and increase the fertility potential.

This study was conducted to study the effect of fenugreek seed’s extract on reproductive system of female Balb/C mice .To this, mice’s were divided in five groups: control, placebo, and three experimental groups. Each group had ten mice which their estrous cycles were synchronized for starting the study. Control group did not receive any drug. Placebo group received normal saline, and experimental groups were injected in peritoneum by 50,100, and 200 mg/kg extract every day until 20 days. Samples were divided randomly in five groups including control, placebo and three treatment groups with ten members in each group which all groups were kept in similar conditions. Hydro alcoholic extract was prepared in 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg doses . Placebo group received only normal saline. Testosterone, LH, and FSH hormones levels, and also the number of stem cells, primary spermatocytes, and relative testis weight were measured. Results showed that aloe vera increased the number of stem cells and primary spermatocytes significantly in all treatment groups. Also, significant changes occurred in third experimental group (200 mg/kg). Testosterone was increased in third group (p<0.05) while LH and FSH hormones didn't show any significant changes. According to results, aloe vera extract has positive effect on testosterone and histological properties of testis, dose dependently.

Methods: In this research a total of male mice with 30-35 gram weight were bought from Razi Institute in Iran .At first samples were kept under adaptation condition for tow weeks & then randomly grouped in to 4 experimental sections.1-Control group were feed with soy-free basic diet.2-Nutrition containing 20% soy diet.3-Nutrition containing 30%soy diet.4-Nutrition containing 50% soy diet. At the end of 8 weeks of treatment blood collected & serum was stored for hormonal analysis. Result: Result were consider with SPSS software & results compared with control group.In 20% group the level of testosterone have meaningful decrease in comparison with control group, but in 50% group the level of testosterone have meaningful increase .level of LH in 30% & 50% group have a meaningful increase but no significant differences were observed in FSH & weight of testicles .The number of sperms in all of the treatments have a meaningful decrease.The result of this research indicated that the 20 , 30 & 50 percent soy diet had negative effect on male reproductive system in mice.

This plant contains phytoestrogens and has many effects on the reproductive system. In this study, hydroalcoholic leaf extract on the testicular tissue and spermatogenesis in male mice was investigated. The samples were randomly divided into 5 groups (three treatment groups, placebo and control groups), and all samples were stored in the same condition. Apium leaves hydroalcoholic extract in different doses (mg/kg/2day150, 100, 50) was injected (IP) into the treated groups for 20 days (one day in between). The Placebo groups were used for injection of saline. The parameters that were evaluated changes, testicular weight and histology of spermatogenesis was compared with control groups. Data were analyzed by SPSS software and statistical tests one way ANOVA and Duncan test. This study showed dose-dependent negative effect of Apium extract on spermatogenesis and reproductive potential in male rats.

The aim of this study is to investigate the possibility of replacing Alprazolam with saffron extract in reducing anxiety. In this study 48 adult mice were used in 6 groups, including extracts with amounts of 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg, alprazolam, anxiety and control. The control group received no intervention or drugs, and anxiety in both main groups of anxiety and appetite was affected by stress, hence, their anxiety and appetite was estimated and recorded without taking any drugs. The alprazolam group received doses of 0.5 mg/kg and 1 hour after the injection, anxiety was induced to the mice by dark boxes and related anxiety and appetite behaviors were studied. This study aimed to evaluate the cytotoxicity effect of CdSe: ZnS on kidney and liver in embryo. Materials and Methods: 10, 20 and 40 mg/kg doses of CdSe:ZnS QDs were injected to some female mice in day 8 gestation. Structural and optical properties of QDs were studied by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM).
