However, recently, we can also observe the integration of social media as a part of e-recruitment although the practice is limited. This review paper aims at discussing the role of social media on e-recruitment process based on existing literature. Most of the previous studies indicate that social media is not being used as the main source of e-recruitment, rather as one of the secondary sources. Further, it has been revealed that such utilization of social media as complementary source is getting popular due to the inexpensive availability of information. The paper is expected to be beneficial for the scholars as a substantial literature evidence for reference as well as for human resource professionals for some practical guidelines (based on recommendations provided) regarding the utilization of social media information for e-recruitment.

This theoretical paper is an effort to identify the tentative impact of that border clash on the bilateral trade between two countries from the perspective of regional geopolitics. The author has utilized secondary information such as newspapers articles, journal articles, online sources, and economists’ opinions on this issue as well as has made some predictions based on the previous bilateral trade statistics. The author proposes that even though the border issue has become very sensitive and important for both countries regarding the geopolitical necessity, the bilateral trade scenario will not be much affected on a substantial scale on a long-term basis. The author further predicts that a likely trade conflict between the two economically promising countrie...

Passive jobseekers are those who already have jobs but are searching for better alternatives. In this paper, we tried to identify the passive jobseekers’ perceived experience towards LinkedIn as a job searching platform. We used Focused Group Discussion (FGD) method to unmask the perception of 150 respondents from Bangladesh and India who use LinkedIn as professional social networking site frequently. After summarizing the FGD results, it was revealed that LinkedIn is the most preferred source of job search tool among the passive job candidates in terms of all aspects such as information availability, accuracy, relevance, reliability, timeliness and cost effectiveness. In addition, the authors revealed that the participants did not care much about privacy, fairness and ethics on LinkedIn as a professional social networking site (SNS). We expect that the r...
