Basically humans have different sound characteristics and frequencies in pronouncing speech. In the development of technology known as a pitch shifting technique that is used to change the human voice in the timbre and pitch section. This study uses the pitch shifting PSOLA method (Pitch Synchronous Overlap Add) to change pitch and sound timbre. The process carried out includes recording sound so that the sound signal is obtained. The recording signal is then processed to find the pitch position of the signal in the time domain. After the pitch position is known, the distance between the pitches will be multiplied by the specified shift scale scale. The result of the multiplication is a change in the pitch of the sound, resulting in a higher or lower sound. Changes also occur in the timbre to produce different sound characters with the original sound. The results of the pitch and timbre test using the PSOLA method showed success reaching 98% based on sine signals, or the resulting sound density was more stable.
