The article presents the results of the application of an ontological approach to the description... more The article presents the results of the application of an ontological approach to the description of the structure and content of the educational programme, and its subsequent analysis for the consistency of prerequisites and learning outcomes of courses. The practical result of the work is an ontology approach implemented in the Protégé 5.5.0 editor, which reflects the studied disciplines in terms of the skills they form and the entrance requirements (prerequisites) for the qualification of the student. The curriculum model includes sequences of semesters and courses of study (academic year) related by time relationships. The developed ontology approach is filled with data from the educational programme “Software Engineering”. Our work was intended to analyse the possibility of using eye tracking tools to verify the skills and training of people engaged in laboratory medicine on the example of parasitological diagnostics. Professionally active laboratory diagnosticians working in a multi-profile laboratory (non-parasitological) (n = 16), laboratory diagnosticians no longer working in this profession (n = 10), and medical analyst students (n = 56), participated in the study. The studied group analysed microscopic images of parasitological preparations made with the cellSens Dimension Software (Olympus) system. In most cases, the cause is operational or random wear. Such processes can be slowed down or eliminated thanks to the maintenance process. The most dangerous processes of monument wear and tear are those in which historical objects are exposed to environmental impact. Cycles of weather changes have a particularly negative impact on objects of this type. These types of objects are significantly damaged and are the most difficult to scan. Many scientific papers concern analysis of dance sequences, classification and recognition of movements, making ICH data public, creating and visualising 3D models or software solutions for learning folklore dances. These works make it possible to preserve this disappearing art. The aim of this article is to propose a methodology for scanning folklore dances. The methodology was developed on the basis of capturing 3D data via an optical motion capture system with a full body Plug-in Gait model that allows for kinematic and kinetic analysis of motion sequences. An additional element of this research was the development of a hand model with which it is possible to precisely analyse the fingers, which play a significant role in many dances. Unlike architectural monuments, they are very fragile, which exacerbates the problems of their protection and popularisation. A big help in this can be the digitisation of their appearance, preferably using modern techniques of three-dimensional representation (3D). The article presents the results of the search for examples and methodologies of implementing 3D scanning of exhibited historical clothes as well as the attendant problems. From a review of scientific literature it turns out that so far practically no one in the world has made any methodical attempts at scanning historical clothes using structured-light 3D scanners (SLS) and developing an appropriate methodology. The project aimed to develop a strategy for the foreign students' education in WSPA and the activation of the academic community to transform WSPA in a multicultural university, opened to the education of students of different nationalities with different cultural backgrounds. During this project the participants have acquired knowledge of other European Union universities experiences in these fields. This knowledge has helped to formulate guidelines for internationalization of education in WSPA as a roadmap.

This paper focuses on the importance of performance testing in the early stages of software development. To performance tests be credible, the appropriate load profile of the system must be used. The paper presents a method of using legacy system load of real transaction data to design performance tests for newly developed systems. The example of the hospital information system (HIS) shows the use of this method in the software development using agile methods. Presented approach allowed the early detection of performance problems of the new software.

Optimisation of Discrete Processes with Bounded Control

The study considers the problem of optimal control for linear discrete systems with a free right ... more The study considers the problem of optimal control for linear discrete systems with a free right end of the trajectory and constraints on control. A new approach to constructing a discrete system is proposed and control is determined at discrete instants of time. Necessary and sufficient conditions for optimality are obtained and a method is proposed for the exact solution of the boundary value problem, which is reduced to solving a finite number of systems of algebraic equations. The proposed method for solving the optimal control problem for a discrete system allows to represent the desired optimal control in the form of synthesising control. For this, a positively definite symmetric matrix is defined that satisfies a difference equation of Riccati type. An algorithm for constructing control for discrete systems is developed, based on the feedback principle, taking into account constraints on the values of controls. The problem is solved using the Lagrange multipliers of a special form, which depend on the phase coordinates at discrete instants of time. The proposed method for solving the problem of optimal control with constraints on control values is implemented on a computer with an application package and tested for the task of planning production and storage of products. Numerical calculations are carried out on a computer using the described problem-solving algorithm in which it is possible to take into account restrictions on the values of controls. Optimal values are determined and appropriate schedules of the production plan, storage of products and limited management at discrete instants of time are constructed.

The level of security is influenced by technology, security model, password encryption method, password strength and others. The human factor-unreasonable behaviour of users-also has a significant impact on safety. Developers of database applications often implement their security policy by limiting the risk caused by users. This implementation has a disadvantage-it does not work outside of the application. A large number and variety of applications that work with the database server may then create a security gap. The paper presents the authors' extensions of the functional features implemented in the Oracle database server, increasing the security of data access. The implemented methods of controlling the time of user access to data and limiting the use of serial and modular passwords are also discussed.

All Database Management Systems used in the industry provide secure access to data at the server ... more All Database Management Systems used in the industry provide secure access to data at the server level. The level of security is influenced by technology, security model, password encryption method, password strength and others. The human factor-unreasonable behaviour of users-also has a significant impact on safety. Developers of database applications often implement their security policy by limiting the risk caused by users. This implementation has a disadvantage-it does not work outside of the application. A large number and variety of applications that work with the database server may then create a security gap. The paper presents the authors' extensions of the functional features implemented in the Oracle database server, increasing the security of data access. The implemented methods of controlling the time of user access to data and limiting the use of serial and modular passwords are also discussed.
