This figure reflects on residents of both urban and rural areas of the Bangladesh. The Urban inhabitant only account for thirty percent people while the remaining seventy percent of Bangladeshi population lives in rural area. However, only forty percent of the rural population is covered by national grid electricity and eighty percent population has no access to modern form of electricity (Grameen Shakti, 2010).
To meet this unquenchable thirst of energy demand, new forms of renewable energy has been introduced in the market with easier and inexpensive access.
This paper specifically focuses on solar power, specifically solar photovoltaic systems and will highlight how this alternative form of energy will minimize this crisis of sustainable energy, focusing on rural areas of Bangladesh.
