The main values for achieving happiness have been explored since the era of logos replaced mythology, and become an important theme of philosophy because it is relevant to this day. Some of the philosophers have contributed to developing teachings about the main values in realizing happiness in people's lives. This article aims to explore the ethical thinking of John Locke, who is known as one of the founders of empiricism. Recognition of individual property that supports the human goal to live a happy life. This concept then becomes the basis for the development of a market economy and global capitalism, following the logic of capital accumulation that has no end, and blurs the rationality of the boundaries of individual rights and collective rights. The research method used is a literature study, by tracing the works of John Locke in the field of ethics, especially on human rights and property rights. The works on John Locke's thoughts are also a source of this research. From the results of the study, it can be shown that not all of John Locke's thoughts on ethics are relevant to Indonesian conditions. As a philosophical discussion, John Locke's ethics can enrich concepts and theories about citizens' property rights that need to be protected by the state, but as a policy it needs modifications that are by the main values according to the needs of society.

Te... more The recent escalation of tensions between Russia and Ukraine has caught the world's attention. Tensions are characterized by the leadership of hundreds of thousands of Russian troops on Ukraine's borders and the response of many NATO members, including the United States, to Russian pressure. NATO threats against Russia have played a role in increasing tensions on the Russia-Ukraine border. This article analyzes the nature of Russian-Ukrainian relations, the background to rising tensions between the two countries, and the international reaction to the situation. It is the duty of the international community to continue to seek peaceful solutions to avoid the threat of another world war. The ongoing conflict will ultimately harm many parties not only in European countries, but also in other regions.

Along with goods and services, the wide coastal area also facilitates migrant worker to enter and exit Indonesia through several ports. First and foremost interference on the borderless coastal boundary is Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) Fishing. The IUU foreign fishing vessels frequently transporting illegal migrant worker obtained through human trafficking, people smuggling, forced labor, child exploitation, torture, and discrimination. This practices can then be categorized as one of the transnational organized crime at sea. This paper focuses on the studies of notorious cases of human trafficking on IUU Fishing. This journal will also observe the lack of prevention measure of transnational crime on UNCLOS and utilization of bilateral and multilateral treaties on IUU Fishing.

Law enforcement officers give appropriate punishments to perpetrators of sexual violence, so that... more Law enforcement officers give appropriate punishments to perpetrators of sexual violence, so that the rule of law is truly enforced and order is created in society. Sanctions are intended to provide a deterrent effect for perpetrators of sexual violence so as not to repeat their behavior and prevent others from committing the crime because of the threat of severe punishment. The purpose of this study is to find: 1) children who are victims of criminal acts of sexual harassment; 2) the impact of children as victims of crimes of sexual violence; and 3) efforts to tackle crimes of sexual violence against children. The results of the study are as follows: efforts to overcome crimes of sexual violence against children are the role of parents who play an important role in protecting children from the risk of sexual violence; legal care as well as psychological rehabilitation support and psychological services for both children and their parents; and the role of the community to ensure the protection of children; also the role of the State, in the form of rehabilitation, which is an integrated process of treatment activities by restoring the child's condition. Rehabilitation in question is a process of organizing physical, mental, and social rehabilitation activities in an integrated manner so that the child can continue to carry out his social functions and skills in social life.
