The proposed technique is based on a filter based Thyristor controlled reactor (TCR) to suppress the rotor current component which generated from the stator natural flux which is built up during voltage dips. The proposed technique is working at the fault time only and irrespective to the rotor speed, which support the capability of the Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) to withstand faults and/or voltage dips. The proposed technique is simulated using EMTDC/PSCAD.
