An overview of features for integrated technologies such as Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Cryptographic Algorithms, Quantum Cryptography, Federated ID Management and Secure Mobile Ad-hoc networking are described together with their expected use in INDECT.

However, at this moment, the mobile technologies can not offer us theses services or they are much reduced. This paper discusses the main drawbacks of these technologies and describes the infrastructure and components that we have developed in response to this need. The infrastructure, as a result of a project between a Spanish mobile operator and the University of Murcia, offers the applications, certification services and electronic signature combined with the use of highly-recognized standards. With Windows mobile, we made components to the process of certification, the signing and time-stamping of an electronic document and the important problem of the validation of a certificate. Our infrastructure has also been tested in a real environment, providing us an interesting feedback based on technical and user-friendly matters.

The initial genome-wide scan was conducted in a French sample of 1039 cases and 1984 controls, using almost 500 000 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). Two SNPs at SNCA were found to be associated with PD at the genome-wide significance level (P < 3 3 10 28 ). An additional set of promising and new association signals was identified and submitted for immediate replication in two independent case -control studies of subjects of European descent. We first carried out an in silico replication study using GWAS data from the WTCCC2 PD study sample (1705 cases, 5200 WTCCC controls). Nominally replicated SNPs were further genotyped in a third sample of 1527 cases and 1864 controls from France and Australia. We found converging evidence of association with PD on 12q24 (rs4964469,

We have attempted to summarize the evidence concerning the association of olive oil intake with cancer risk in humans. Methods. We reviewed all the studies that met the following criteria: (1) they have directly examined olive oil in the context of an extensive food frequency questionnaire or have evaluated the role of monounsaturated fat in populations of Mediterranean countries where a large fraction of monounsaturated fat originates from olive oil and (2) they have analyzed the data with explicit or implicit control for energy intake to accommodate the likely confounding influence of caloric consumption and to account to a certain extent for differential completeness of reporting between cases and controls. Ecologic studies were also considered and relevant experimental data were invoked. Results. With respect to breast cancer, there is converging evidence for a protective effect, although the data are not definitive. For other cancer types, the overall epidemiologic evidence, although promising, is quantitatively limited and qualitatively suboptimal. Conclusion. The issue is of major public health importance and deserves additional study.
