To achieve this aim, the students' opinions, who were determined with purposive sampling in the study conducted with a qualitative research design, were collected with open-ended questionnaires. The results obtained from the study are as follows: (1) The DTP process provided teacher candidates with experience in distance education, increased their technology predispositions, prevented the total interruption of education due to the pandemic, prevented the further spread of the pandemic, and ensured that trainings were conducted independently of time and place. (2) In the DTP process, communication problems between the parties (school administrators, counselors, and students), technical problems, technical impossibilities, inexperience, indifference, and inadequacy of technology use emerged as fundamental problems. (3) For the DTP process to be more effective, teaching practice courses should be fully face-to-face, or the DTP process should not only be conducted by distance education but should also be supported by face-to-face education processes.

The study was carried out with the sequential mixed model approach, which is one of the mixed method designs. A total of 492 teachers working in primary, secondary and high schools located in Beyoğlu district of Istanbul province in the 2016-2017 academic year were included in the quantitative section of the study, and 20 teachers from the same district were included in the qualitative section. The "Effectiveness of the School Structure Scale" and the "Teacher Leadership Culture Scale" were used in collecting the quantitative data of the study. Descriptive analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis were used in the analysis of quantitative data. In the qualitative section of the study, data were collected through semi-structured questions. The content analysis was used in their analysis. In the study, it was determined that the effectiveness of the bureaucratic structure of schools was at the moderate level and the schools' levels of having teacher leadership culture were above the moderate level. The quantitative results of the study showed that the effectiveness level of the bureaucratic school structure had positive and significant relationships with the dimensions of occupational cooperation, school administrator' s support and supportive working environment, which are the dimensions of teacher leadership culture. It was observed that the effectiveness of the bureaucratic school structure explained the behavior of school administrator' s support, the supportive working conditions and the occupational cooperation environment that are the dimensions of teacher leadership culture, by 43%, 26% and 9%, respectively. Based on the interviews held with the participants, it was revealed that teacher leadership behaviors could be developed by school principals' constructive and cooperative behaviors and the occupational, administrative and institutional supports, which will enable the roles of teachers. Furthermore, it was shown that culture in which teachers could exhibit leadership behaviors could be strengthened by the enabling structuring of the bureaucratic school structure.

The study was conducted with a phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research methods. The study group consists of five teachers and five school administrators working in Elazığ, a province in Türkiye in the 2020-2021 academic year. It was determined that educators can voluntarily decide to work when they are not feeling well due to motivations such as a sense of responsibility, conscience, commitment to work, public service, and religious sensitivity. In addition, some participants stated that due to organisational pressure, economic difficulties, and workload, employees make a forced decision to work when they are not well. Finally, in addition to the negative results of presenteeism, positive results, which are rarely seen in the literature, were also obtained. Therefore, the experience of presenteeism should be evaluated considering its positive and negative effects on organisations and employees. Finally, suggestions were developed to monitor the situation of employees experiencing presenteeism, develop policies regarding this, and prevent them from being forced to work in bad situations they cannot tolerate.

A cross-sectional research design was used in the current study. Data were collected from 298 primary school teachers working at primary schools located in a city centre in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. The relationships between the variables were tested through the use of the structural equation model. The study results indicated that the teachers' traditional and contemporary educational philosophies did not directly affect their digital literacy levels, but indirectly affected their resistance to change through the level of resistance to change. The results also suggested that teachers' traditional educational philosophies had a negative effect on their digital literacy levels through the mediating role of resistance to change, while the contemporary educational philosophies positively affected their digital literacy levels through resistance to change. Consequently, in recent conditions teachers are expected to develop both their own and students' digital skills. Due to the importance of digital literacy in this age where technology permeates every aspect of life, teachers should accept digital change and transformation without resistance.

The transition of the programs in architecture schools worldwide to distance education in 2020 has created an extraordinary experience of designing lectures for distance education apart from traditional methods. The current study examined the attitudes of students, who are thought to be most affected by this pandemic process, toward distance education in terms of the usefulness of and preference for distance education, the feeling of lack of social presence, and the preference for face-to-face education. This study also sought the factors affecting the success of students in design studios. The opinions of 970 students studying design at 20 universities in Turkey were sought. This mixed method study revealed that, together with the pandemic, distance education closely affected student success, especially in faculties where design courses are given. The attitudes of male students studying architecture are significantly more positive toward distance education compared to those of female students. The results illustrated that students with adequate Internet access also have better views on the usefulness of distance education compared to those with insufficient internet access. As the students' grade level in the faculty of architecture increased, their attitudes toward distance education changed positively. The overall results reveal that traditional education promotes student creativity and design capacity significantly in all departments associated with design and architecture. The findings of the present study underline the need for revisions in educational institutions with design formation, including schools of architecture, in terms of teaching methods for design lectures, thereby increasing and improving the quality of education. Keywords: Design studio, Design lecture, Emergency distance education, Student attitudes.

This study aims to evaluate whether design studios can be digitized according to the views of students and instructors in two different architecture schools (Firat and Balikesir University) by considering this compulsory experience. The views of 71 students and 5 academicians were taken with a purposeful sampling method. Content and descriptive analyses were performed on the views collected from the participants. As a result, the biggest problem in moving design studios to a digital environment is the disappearance of physical environments in which collaboration, idea sharing, and discussions will occur. In addition, the advantages of online education continued their attraction for some students in the digitalization of design studios. In terms of instructors, games, simulations, modeling, and virtual reality can be used for successful digital studio applications and the infrastructures of these applications can be improved with support from mobile devices.

To achieve the aim of the study, a relational survey model was used. The study sample composed of students studying at the College of Education in Elazığ Province, Turkey, during the 2019-2020 academic semester. The correlation analysis was conducted to determine the relationships among the variables, and hierarchical linear regression analysis was used to determine the predictive effects of demographic characteristics (gender and class) and PSS on smartphone cyberloafing. The results of the study revealed a significant, negative, and low relationship between PSS and smartphone cyberloafing. Social support from family negatively predicted smartphone cyberloafing during lectures, while social support from significant others positively predicted it. Finally, the family and significant other subscales significantly predicted interactive, browsing, and entertainment cyberloafing. In contrast, the friends subscale predicted only interactive cyberloafing. The belief that a sense of trust in family and needed family support in times of need could decrease smartphone cyberloafing and lead teacher candidates to focus more on teaching. Educational institutions should develop policies that involve families at every stage of education, and decisions should be made with the support of experts, institutions, or organizations on problematic issues.
