Pouco se conhece sobre o desenvolvimento de CD em empresas nascentes, as chamadas startups. Assim o objetivo deste artigo foi realizar uma revisão sistemática sobre CD em startups. Com os resultados deste trabalho é possível afirmar que há CD sendo desenvolvidas em startups. A contribuição deste trabalho foi o mapeamento da pesquisa sobre CD em startups até o momento e a proposta de uma agenda de pesquisa com base nas lacunas identificadas.

Objective: To understand how the innovation process is impacted by the internationalization strat... more Objective: To understand how the innovation process is impacted by the internationalization strategy of the Brazilian ICT startups. Method: The multiple cases study was adopted with seven startups. The analysis was based on the concepts of internationalization strategy defined by Carneiro and Dib (2007) and the innovation process of Tidd and Bessant (2009). Data was collected through interviews with the founders of the startups, documental analysis and observation. Originality / Relevance: Internationalization and innovation are usually addressed separately and focused mainly in large companies. Studies connecting both themes are scarce in the academic literature., especially in emerging countries. Results: The motivation, the choice of the country, the time to internationalization, what was internationalized and the way the startups arrived in other country impacted the innovation process of the startups. However, it was observed that the choice of the country and the form of entry contributed more to the innovation process of these nascent companies. Theoretical / methodological contributions: The academic contribution is the empirical observation of the innovation process, considering the internationalization, in startups in an emerging country. Through the results, eight propositions were brought up to path future studies about those themes. Social / management contributions: Based on the innovation process as a way for startups to be competitive this study contributes by identifying internationalization strategies that lead startups to the advancement of the innovation process. In this way, Brazilian ICT startups and public policies can support the development of these strategies.

A internacionalização no processo de inovação das startups brasileiras de Tecnologia da Informaçã... more A internacionalização no processo de inovação das startups brasileiras de Tecnologia da Informação e Comunicação (TIC) RESUMO Este estudo buscou ampliar o entendimento do impacto da estratégia de internacionalização no processo de inovação das startups. Foram analisadas startups de tecnologia da informação e comunicação (TIC), pois essas são criadas com tecnologias globais e a competição pode ocorrer em nível mundial. Isso justificaria utilizarem como estratégia competitiva a internacionalização em busca por inovação. Foram realizadas entrevistas com sócios-fundadores de startups brasileiras internacionalizadas e o processo de inovação das startups foi observado através da análise de conteúdo das entrevistas pela lente de cada item da estratégia de internacionalização. A motivação, a escolha do país, o tempo, o que internacionalizaram e a forma como as startups chegaram aos países do exterior impactaram o processo de inovação destas empresas nascentes de diferentes formas. Os resultados sugerem proposições que servem como base para estudos futuros. Este trabalho é restrito a uma amostra, mas contribui para o entendimento de como a internacionalização impacta na inovação de startups. A relação entre internacionalização e inovação em empresas nascentes é um vasto campo a ser explorado pela Academia tendo em vista a representatividade econômica dessas startups e a ausência de estudos específicos no assunto. The object of study was the information and communication technology (ICT) Brazilian startups. These companies are created with global technologies and the search for innovation is as competitive strategy. The competition on a global level makes this kind of organization finds in internationalization a way to remain competitive in the market. Interviews were conducted with founding partners of internationalized Brazilian startups. The innovation process of the startups was observed through the content analysis of the interviews by the lens of each item of the internationalization strategy. Interviews were conducted with founders of seven Brazilian startups that completed the internationalization process. These were focused in the innovation process and analyzed through the lens of each item of the internationalization strategy. The motivation, the choice of the country, the time, the internationalization and the way in which the startups arrived in overseas countries impacted the innovation process of these nascent companies. Through the results, eight propositions were brought up to path future studies about those themes. This work is restricted to a sample, but it contributes to the understanding of how internationalization impacts startup innovation. This subject is scarcely addressed in the academic literature, especially considering emerging countries.
