Lucia Cuba
Lima, 1980. She studied an MFA in Fashion Design and Society (Parsons, The New School for Design), Fashion Design at Centro de Altos Estudios de la Moda (CEAM), a BSc in Social Psychology, an MSc in Educational Psychology and a PhD in Public Health at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH).
Among her most recent projects are Proyecto Gamarra and Artículo 6, platforms that work through design and activism approaching social issues from critical fashion design practices, while her project Objects/Subjects explores of the agency of clothes and fashion objects. She has participated in diverse platforms of education, art and culture at the national and international level and curated the exhibitions Rafia and Procesos Peruanos/Moda y Diseño. In 2012 her work Articulo 6 received de Award in Fashion at the Iberoamerican Design Bienal, and a honourable mention at the EUNIC-Peru Awards. She has recently received the Han Nefkens Fashion on the Edge Award. Her work is currently on view at the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, and at the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) in New York .

actitudes y conductas frente a las Infecciones de Transmisión Sexual (ITS) y al VIH/SIDA, en una muestra de 382
escolares adolescentes de Lima entre los 12 y 19 años. Se encontró que un 85.9% de los participantes tiene un nivel de
conocimientos bajo y actitudes neutrales (60.2%) frente a las ITS y al VIH/SIDA, que sus conductas se orientan hacia
la protección y responsabilidad frente al riesgo del SIDA. Un 7.3% de los participantes ha tenido relaciones sexuales;
la edad de iniciación sexual oscila entre los 13 y 16 años; 1.3% de los participantes ha tenido una ITS, evidenciándose
algunas diferencias en los resultados según grupos de edad y sexo. Los padres y los amigos de los participantes
conforman una red de apoyo y afirman haber recibido información sobre orientación sexual. Se recomienda el uso de
la presente como diagnóstico de partida para futuras intervenciones e indagar más sobre los factores que habrían
influido sobre las actitudes, y conductas frente a las ITS, VIH/SIDA.
