La classe d'âge la plus touché est celle entre 5 et 15 ans avec 59,7 %. Les intoxiqué avaient un âge moyen de 7,2 ± 4,75 ans. Les garçons étaient les plus concerné que les fi lles (SR = 1,5). Les intoxications étaient accidentelles (94,4 %) et survenaient surtout au domicile familial (84,3 %). Les produits les plus fréquentes étaient les aliments, suivis par les produits gazeux et les celle des médicaments (28,7 %, 17,7 % et 17,6 % respectivement). La voie orale était le plus rencontré (37 %). Les patients sont admis dans les structures sanitaires avec le grade II (71,8 %). La province l'El Kelâa avait déclaré le taux le plus élevé avec 808 cas (33,6 %). Conclusion : les intoxications chez les enfants, dans la région de Marrakech Tensift Al Haouz, doivent constituer une priorité de santé publique pour une meilleure prise en charge.

In this study, we used flow cytometry to determine the frequency of the immunologic types of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in Moroccan children. We analyzed 100 samples from ALL patients within an age ranging from 6 months to 16 years presented over a 4-year period (1996 to 2000). Immunophenotyping allowed classification into 2 major categories: TALL (37%) and BALL (63%), with a higher percentage of males (69%). Comparison of the clinical characteristics showed that the frequency of splenomegaly was similar in BALL and TALL patients (53% and 47%, respectively). Hepatomegaly and mediastinal masses were more often associated with TALL (62% and 71%, respectively). Splenomegaly, hepatomegaly, and mediastinal masses were more frequent in immature than mature BALL , whereas the reverse was observed for TALL. Complete remission was obtained in 88% and 84% of BALL and TALL , respectively and relapse after 1 year occurred in 30% and 37% of cases, respectively. CD10 expressing BALL showed a slightly higher complete remission rate, whereas the reverse was observed for CD10 expressing TALL. The overall 5-year survival rate of ALL was 38%, whereas patients with BALL showed better survival than children with TALL .

La distribution provinciale a montré que Settat est la plus représentée (54%), suivie de Berrechid (31,3%), Benslimane (9,9%) et Khouribga (4,7%). La tranche d'âge la plus représentée est celle de l'adulte (60,5%) suivie de celle de l'adolescent (19,5%), avec un sex ratio (M/F) de 0,5. Les produits gazeux ont été impliqués dans 28,2% des cas, suivis des médicaments (25,2%) et des aliments (16,8%). Ces intoxications sont survenues en milieu urbain dans 68,9% des cas et à domicile dans 93,3% des cas. La circonstance accidentelle classique prédominait (69,38%), suivie par la circonstance suicidaire (26,4%) puis la circonstance toxicomanie (1,7%). Vingt cas de décès ont été enregistrés à Khouribga et Settat, dix par pesticides, six par produits industriels, trois par les médicaments et un d'origine inconnue. mille cent trente cas d'intoxications ont été collectés, soit une incidence de 56,4 /100 000 habitants ; ce qui la place en 1 ère position. La tranche d'âge la plus représentée est celle de l'adulte (65,9%) suivie de celle de l'adolescent (15,7%). Les aliments ont été impliqués dans 35,6% des cas suivis des produits gazeux (34,6%), et des médicaments (20%). Ces intoxications sont survenues en milieu urbain dans 81,7% des cas et à domicile dans 90,5% des cas.
