It provides a short theoretical background on commitment and motivation of employees and the importance of human resource management for meeting organisational goals and achieving its strategy. The deployment of information and communication technologies in this process facilitates the work of managers, as well as provides them with better tools for enhancing employees' participation and involvement in the organisations processes. The paper presents new electronic tools developed as an extension to existing human resources management software, aimed at collecting objective and subjective feedback from employees. An example of the application of these tools is provided and an analysis of the results of the improvement of human resources management in the organisation.

It proposes a new electronic tool as an extension of existing human resources management software aimed at collecting objective and subjective feedback from employees needed for management design. An example of the application of the system is provided and analysis of the results for improvement of human resources management in the organisation.

However, it is difficult to manage knowledge as it resides in human minds. Many efforts have been made for capturing tacit knowledge of employees and making it available in knowledge management systems, however, the initial failures have resulted in applying more "soft tools" (e.g. creativity and group facilitation techniques) and supporting communication and knowledge sharing among employees [12], [13]. Subsequently, for finding expertise in organisations are proposed techniques for visualising knowledge sources (e.g. yellow pages, skills maps, etc.) [4], [12]. This paper extends the patterns discussed at VikingPLoP 2014 and EuroPLoP 2015 in the area of Knowledge Management Systems design. Its goal is to present a pattern related to Info-Structure design [8], and more specifically focused on knowledge profiles of employees.

It is difficult to manage knowledge as it resides in human minds. Its success requires a synergy of organisational, technological and human-focused initiatives and tools integrated in a Knowledge Management System. This paper provides guidance in a form of patterns on designing the core elements of such system – infrastructure, info-structure and info-culture. It provides a framework for a set of patterns to be further developed, and based on already presented patterns at the European Conference for Patterns Language of Programming (EuroPLoP) in the areas of Knowledge Audit and Knowledge Management Strategy.

Innovative and knowledge-based organizations are characterized by better productivity and sustainability in the fast changing business environment nowadays. Technologies are providing many opportunities to support creativity, collaboration and knowledge transfer. How social media could help? These are part of the issues this paper is trying to resolve, making, first, a brief review of recent debates on lead users, co-creation, crowd-sourcing, etc. and highlighting afterwards the challenges for creativity and motivation of users in open innovation.
