Ontology has become a fundamental and critical component for developing different applications on... more Ontology has become a fundamental and critical component for developing different applications on the Web. With the phenomenal growth of the Web resources, to generate automatically ontologies by using existing documents on the Web has gotten more and more attention. Forensic medicine ontology is used to narrate and reason the knowledge of a forensic domain. Previous studies for constructing forensic medicine ontologies have not automatically constructed by using all the semantic features of the Web documents. Hereby, it is difficult to rapidly construct an instance and property elements of ontology from the Web documents that are increasing daily. This paper focuses on the ontology generation method from forensic inquest documents structured on the Web. In order to generate most ontology elements for reasoning, we discuss how to generate hierarchical relationships, non-hierarchical relationships, and property elements based on structural and semantic characteristics of forensic inquest report. An empirical investigation of our method has proved the effectiveness of forensic medicine ontology generation. Experimental results show that our ontology generation method can generate with high quality rapidly and correctly important instances and properties of a forensic domain.

The applications for IEC 61499 that is standard architecture for developing the applications of d... more The applications for IEC 61499 that is standard architecture for developing the applications of distributed control and measurement in factory automation, have the connected structure of the graphical elements called BFB(basic function block), SIFB(service interface function block) and CFB(composite function block). The research on the composite function block has been regarded as important issues in implementing hierarchy, multi-functionality and simplicity of software. Nowadays many researchers have been investigated IEC61499 in the fields of the software modeling composed of basic function block and service interface function block, the transformation from IEC61131 to IEC61499 and syntactic extension of ECC of basic function block. However, work related to the mathematical modeling for IEC61499 composite function block using in designing software with hierarchical structure is still lacking. This paper presents the mathematical model for the structure and execution analysis of IEC 61499 composite function blocks by using notation of the set theory. Also a subaplication configuration algorithm is suggested for the subapplication corresponding to the composite function block. Then its effectiveness through the computation experiment of several distributed control applications is shown. The proposed model can be used effectively as a basis for analyzing a runtime environment of a software tool for designing and developing the applications.

We defined the 10 visemes based on vowel by analyzing of Korean utterance and proposed the method of extracting the 20-dimensional visual feature vector, combination of static features and dynamic features. Lastly, we took an experiment in recognizing words based on 3-viseme HMM and evaluated the efficiency.
