In this research, the authors aim to develop “LORDS: Location-Oriented Description Service”, whic... more In this research, the authors aim to develop “LORDS: Location-Oriented Description Service”, which can deliver the contents based on the location data, manage the content repository and gather the environmental information. Although most of the intelligent transportation system (ITS) service contribute on transit efficiency, those cannot deliver and display the contents without dependency on the device adequately. LORDS enable gathering probe and environmental information, storing such kind of data and delivering it regardless of devices. To realize LORDS, 1) acquiring environmental information and 2) delivering the contents in response to the display are inevitable. Probe vehicle system is applicable for gathering the environmental data in real time and MEXARC (Media Content Expression Architecture) is available for flexible content description. We are describing the first step towards the development of an unobtrusive open eyewear system fo... more We are describing the first step towards the development of an unobtrusive open eyewear system for attention tracking in daily life situations. We are logging thermographic data from infrared imaging and electrooculographic readings from off-the-shelf smart glasses and measure cognitive engagement of people in different situations. We are identifying new potential areas on the face for contactless IR temperature sensing. Attached to smart glasses and in combination with the EOG potentials we can monitor the wearer's facial temperature changes, eye movement and eye blink in everyday situations, which is a major step towards becoming able to measure attention in unconstrained settings, and thus make it manageable.

In this paper, we present Infoshare: a flexible and scalable information authoring and sharing ar... more In this paper, we present Infoshare: a flexible and scalable information authoring and sharing architecture for multimedia digital signage systems. Proposed architecture internally analyze and classify content, design and system infrastructure into three different layers using metadata extracted by user input and creates a highly scalable and easy to share digital signage environment. Furthermore, this architecture enables decentralized management by defining different user roles to handle each above mentioned layers. We believe that Infoshare architecture can make an efficient Creation, Distribution and Installation (CDI) cycle for multimedia digital signage content while allowing smooth scalability and management of the system. We applied this architecture to a prototype digital signage system. Paper describes the system implementation, key features and future development directions.
