There has been much research on high temperature stress in plants, especially in potato plants, h... more There has been much research on high temperature stress in plants, especially in potato plants, however we done this research because two potato cultivars Atlantic and Granola were most cultivated in our area of East Java Indonesia. The purpose of this reserach is to know the changes in biochemistry and heat shock protein (HSPs) due to high temperature stress in potato plants. In this study potato seedling cv. Atlantic and cv Granola were treated with 42 0 C for 24 hours in growth chamber. While control plants were grown on medium with temperature of 20 o C. Reducing sugar content on control plant relatively lower, in contrast on cv. Atlantic reducing sugar content increased higher than cv. Granola. Between two potatoes cultivars, treatment of high temperature cv. Granola affected on sucrose content almost twice compared to control plant. However there was slightly increasing of sucrose on cv. Atlantic. Endogenous proline content increases sharply in cv. Granola 1.34 μg/g sample due to stress at high temperature, while Atlantic cv slightly increased 0.7 μg/g sample. In control plants proline content were low 0.58 μg/g samples and 0.68 μg/g samples for Atlantic and Granola respectively. The western blotting analysis showed that HSP 18.5 was detected very strongly, while in Atlantic control plant was not detected, and on Granola was very weak. HSP 21 was detected very strongly in Atlantic which stressed by high temperature compared to the control plants. HSP 21 proteins detected almost 2 times in Atlantic. In contrast in Granola was detected almost similar between the controls and stressed.

Potensi wilayah di Kabupaten Banyuwangi juga menghasilkan produk kelapa dan agroindustrinya yang tersebar di beberapa wilayah. Dari kondisi tersebut maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah potensi wilayah dalam mendukung produksi gula merah kelapa serta strategi pengembangan agroindustri gula kelapa di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kecamatan Pesanggaran memiliki persentase terbesar dari seluruh agroindustri yang ada di Kabupaten Banyuwangi yakni sebesar 22,31 %dari total sebanyak 1067 agorindustri yang ada. In general, the stages of somatic embryo development consist of embryo initiation and proliferation, embryo maturation (globular, scutellar, and coleoptilar phases), embryo germination, and acclimatization. Indirect somatic embryo formation currently does not have a more in-depth study of the mechanism of the occurrence of somatic embryos, especially in porang plant, so we present knowledge related to the interaction of 2,4-D hormones and NAA on callus induction through histological analysis and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis on embryogenic callus of porang plant (Amorphophallus muelleri). The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction effect of 2,4-D and NAA on the SE induction process and to study the stages of embryonic changes and development of the embryonic structure of porang plant. This research has been carried out for 6 months from May to October 2021. The research site was in the Agronomy Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jember. This study used a 2-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 replications. The first factor was 2,4-D concentrations of 0 ppm, 1 ppm, and 2 ppm, whereas the second factor was NAA concentrations of 0.5 ppm, 1 ppm, 1.5 ppm, 2 ppm, and 2.5 ppm. The results showed that the treatment of 1 ppm 2,4-D + 1.5 ppm NAA resulted in embryogenic callus and the results of histology and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that the stages of the somatic embryo of porang included the preembryogenic mass, globular, scutellar, and coleoptile embryonic stages, then the coleoptile development to the bud primordia stage. At concentrations of 1 ppm 2,4-D + 1.5 ppm NAA, pre-embryogenic mass, and globular embryos were formed which had smooth surfaces.

This research aimed to obtain the best influential concentration of bacterial consortium (bioboos... more This research aimed to obtain the best influential concentration of bacterial consortium (bioboost) on the growth and yields of rice (Oryza sativa L.). The results of this research are expected to provide information about the effect of bacterial consortium concentration on the growth and yield of several rice varieties. The research was conducted from August, 2014 to December, 2014, in Villa Tegal Besar, Jember regency. The research used randomized complete block design with two factors and three replications. The first factor was variety: Situbagendit, mikongga, and ciherang. The second factor was concentration of bioboost: 0 ml, 20 ml, and 40 ml. The results showed that there was no interaction between the use of varieties and a concentration of bioboost on all parameters but was significantly different in response to concentrations of bioboost on parameters of number of tillers per panicle, the number of filled grain per panicle, grain yield per polybag, and the number of leaf chlorophyll. Concentration treatment showed high yields and a significant dose of 40 ml. This was shown in the parameter of the number of tillers per panicle by 50.56 tillers, number of filled grains per panicle that contain 410.89 grains, grain yields per polybag by 167.90 grams, and the amount of leaf chlorophyll by 43.22.

Kolesom yang bernilai tinggi menjadi tidak bernilai diantara warga di desa Arjasa dan sekitarnya, sehingga hal ini perlu diidentifikasi penyebab permasalahan itu terjadi. Kolesom Jawa ini bisa menjadi peluang usaha baru bagi ibu rumah tangga dimasa pandemic untuk memperoleh tambahan penghasilan dari nilai ekonomi olahan tanaman kolesom Jawa. Identifikasi permasalahan suatu kondisi di dalam lingkungan dapat menggunakan berbagai macam metode.untuk mengetahui akar masalahnya sehingga bisa memperoleh solusi yang tepat. Pada kegiatan ini dilakukan analisa akar masalah menggunakan root couse analysis dengan menggunakan Teknik fishbone dan teknik 5 whys. Penerepan RCA pada penelitian ini menggunakan dua teknik yaitu teknik fishbone menggunakan kategori sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai arahan kemudian 5 why diagram untuk membantu mengidentifikasi faktor penyebabnya sehingga akar masalah mengerucut. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diperoleh bahwa Identifikasi akar masalah diperoleh dari kegiatan analisis deskripsi kualitatif melalui survey wawancara kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Teknik fishbone untuk memperoleh penyebab terjadinya masalah yang dihadapi. Teknik fishbone ini sebagai arahan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan teknik 5 whys karena dapat menunjukkan hubungan kausal sebab akibat, dan mampu menggabungkan cara berpikir aksi maupun kondisi. Akar masalah yang didapat adalah kurangnya sarana dan prasarana sebagai pusat informasi pengembangan warga. Solusi yang dilakukan adalah dalam bentuk penyuluhan berupa solusi dan praktek sebagai wadah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan warga.

The first factor was sugarcane cultivars (v) that comprised of 4 levels, namely: LK 95-127, LK 92-17, K 93-219, and K 93-347. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian nano silika terhadap pertumbuhan fase bibit beberapa varietas unggul baru pada tanah entisol. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama aplikasi nano Si (S) terdiri atas aplikasi nano Si 0% (S1) dan aplikasi nano Si 30% (S2). Faktor kedua varietas unggul baru terdiri atas Bululawang (V1), NX-01 (V2), NX-02 (V3), dan VMC 86-550 (V4).
