Many countries across the globe, including the Philippines, have implemented Gender and Developme... more Many countries across the globe, including the Philippines, have implemented Gender and Development (GAD) policies to reduce gender biases and promote equality. However, mainstreaming efforts have been challenging due to the scarce availability of learning resources in the local context. This study is an initiative to provide the GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) in the Department of Education ñ City of Mati with a primary reference in training their GAD Focal Persons on Gender Sensitivity, GAD Planning, and Budgeting (GPB). The coverage is based on their learning needs and gaps determined through participatory strategies involving the school administrators, teachers, students, and parents. Also, the results of the gender audit using the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (GMEF) are used as a baseline in module development. The framework presents strategic directions that agencies need to follow to advance across stages. It was found that Matiís primary and secondary schools are in the initial stages of gender mainstreaming. As such, GADís basic concepts and definitions are introduced, along with various forms of gender-based violence and the appropriate mechanisms to address them aptly. The essential steps in planning and budgeting are also detailed, providing an active experience among the participants. It is imperative to sustain GAD capacity-building initiatives to catalyze a more directed and engaged policy framework.

This social issue entails more in-depth investigation, especially in primary public education, to promote gender-responsive instruction and increase inclusiveness in education. This study aimed to assess the level of gender mainstreaming efforts of public elementary and secondary schools in the City of Mati, employing the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (GMEF). A quantitative design through purposive sampling methods where the respondents are the GAD focal persons was used in this study. The study found out that the Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division in the City of Mati's level of gender mainstreaming is still in the Foundation Formation stage (Stage 1). There's a long way to integrate gender into its systems, programs, and services. The study recommends that the agency may craft policies to attain the maximum level of mainstreaming efforts and be modeled and replicated by other agencies in the future.

The main purpose of this study was to determine the best fit model of well-being of PNP personnel... more The main purpose of this study was to determine the best fit model of well-being of PNP personnel. Specifically, it recognized the interrelationship among the exogenous variables such as work environment, organizational social capital, social support and the endogenous variable well-being of PNP personnel in Davao Region. Structural Equation Modeling and quantitative research design were employed in this study. The data were gathered from 440 PNP active personnel in Davao Region. There were four adapted questionnaires used in the gathering of data. Findings revealed that the level of work environment and organizational social capital, and well-being are very high while social support is high. Anent to this, the three exogenous variables have a strong relationship to well-being and these greatly influence well-being of PNP personnel. Apparently, the best fit model is model number five on the organizational social capital in which cognitive and structural dimension are the best drivers towards well-being grounded on resilience, flourishing, depression anxiety and stress and job resource.
