RESUMEN-Trazamos un itinerario imaginado, que se hila en cinco casas de Mies. Su argumento geográ... more RESUMEN-Trazamos un itinerario imaginado, que se hila en cinco casas de Mies. Su argumento geográfico transita entre dos de sus obras en Europa y dos de sus obras en América. Ambos mundos quedan ligados por un ensayo intermedio, sus casas patio, con cuyos dibujos viajó y unió su actividad docente en las escuelas de la Bauhaus y de la IIT. En cada una de estas casas Mies intensifica y amplía la capacidad espacial de una única habitación: la veranda. El resultado será una casa hecha sólo veranda, de cuya anatomía surgirá la vivienda del cielo de la metrópoli.

Seventeenth-century plans of the city of London show us a mineral place of timeless dimension. It... more Seventeenth-century plans of the city of London show us a mineral place of timeless dimension. It is a city that unites its destiny with a utopia that transcends the individual that inhabits it. Time seems to stand still; it does not come about, perhaps because its destiny-that of its utopias-transcends time itself. This city of London is followed by a new place, the city of machines and movement. It is a city that reunites individuals in moving rooms and by the time of itinerancy. Then the notion of time in dwelling emerges together with distance, as derived from the idea of velocity. In this city of movement and increasingly accelerated time, this place today has been transformed into a pop-up place. These places are places that we select as virtual points and whose emergence from a virtual reality we encourage. They are places that we link to a personal and imagined city. They are virtual places that we inhabit in an almost disjointed way and places that take us to other places, to other homes, to other times where we fulfil our small dreams and eventually our own micro-utopias.

Proponemos construir un viaje, geográfico e histórico, que se hila en cinco casas de Alberto Camp... more Proponemos construir un viaje, geográfico e histórico, que se hila en cinco casas de Alberto Campo Baeza. El relato parte de Cádiz con las casas Gaspar y Guerrero, se adentra en la sierra madrileña en la casa de Blas, para cruzar el Atlántico hasta llegar con la casa Olnick Spanu a Nueva York y desde ahí, arribar la costa de Cádiz en la Casa del Infinito. Con estas cinco casas proponemos un diálogo que se teje en tres claves: la naturaleza, el hombre que muda a ésta y el tiempo en el que se hace habitación aquella naturaleza. El resultado del viaje será el de una arquitectura que se anuda a su origen y no a una simple originalidad. Una arquitectura con vocación de permanecer en el tiempo, ese tiempo al que canta el poeta T.S.Eliot en sus Four Quartets: “Time present and time past/ Are both perhaps present in time future/ And time future contained in time past/ If all time is eternally present/ All time is unredeemable”.
