Most companies choose portal technologies to create a user interface of the information system. O... more Most companies choose portal technologies to create a user interface of the information system. One of the most important and significant on Java platform is the Liferay Portal solution based on JSR-168 standard. In Jun 2008 the JSR-286 was established as a successor of JSR-168 standard. However most applications are developed under JSR-168 standard and there is no easy way to switch between these standards. The first part of the paper describes what the portal technology is and how it is connected to service oriented architecture (SOA). We mentioned some other example of the portal implementation and we introduced the typical portlet implementation. We also identify the most common errors in architecture of the JSR-168 standard. Second part of the paper introduces a new methodology focused on migration from information system based on the JSR-168 standard to portal solution build on the JSR-286 standard. This paper analysis approaches and possibilities of executive model aimed to MDA approach. The se... more This paper analysis approaches and possibilities of executive model aimed to MDA approach. The second part of the article proposes guideline to create executive model and describes basic interactions to object oriented approach. Annotations have been used for executive model object extension. Reflection concept has been used for model execution. Proposed model supports new type of extended object with enhanced metadata model as well as regular objects with no additional metadata description. According to use object with no additional description the model supports third-part components and supports reusability. The model will be applied to LFLC package developed by Institute for Research and Applications of Fuzzy Modeling, University of Ostrava.

ABSTRACT This paper deals with practical aspects of long time delays dynamic system optimization.... more ABSTRACT This paper deals with practical aspects of long time delays dynamic system optimization. In the first part, the paper introduces the system - an atypical flat - and explains the heating problem optimization. The first part also defines independent heating zones. The paper proposes a technical implementation of individual controlled zones and necessary software requirements in the second part. The third part of the paper introduces a control strategy to ensure optimal heating from the economical point of view. The last part of the paper shows real data and evaluates the benefits of the selected control strategy.

ABSTRACT This paper deals with an adaptive fuzzy mechanism for heating control in smart houses. A... more ABSTRACT This paper deals with an adaptive fuzzy mechanism for heating control in smart houses. A fuzzy approach is connected with an expert system and considers various input data which can enter the system. The proposed adaptive mechanism adjusts the thermal comfort rate based on the input data and IF-THEN rules. The knowledge base of the expert system is created based on input data and it is possible to extend it to other possible input values. The proposed adaptive mechanism is demonstrated on a particular example.
