The Constitution of Kenya has to a large extent emancipated the woman from the barriers that were imposed that denied her rights to property, unequal treatment etc. In the Kenyan context as well as in the international fora, the rights of women have to a large extent been realised hence helping them to overcome the traditional barriers that barred from accessing justice in regard to acquisition of property, access to education, protection from gender abuse and violence among other impediments to justice.
