Now a retiree, I preserve an interest in English and French literature, and in Comparative Literature.  Latterly I have become increasingly interested in Linguistics and Classical Languages and Literatures, chiefly Latin.  Classical music and opera are absorbing enthusiasms, but I do not lay claim to any expertise in either.
