An Arabic letter is found to play an effective role in expressing the speaker or the writer’s target meaning. Our concern here is with the letter [kha - خ], phonetically transcribed as /X/.The discussion in this essay will focus on one strange phenomenon; that this letter is playing a unique role in Arabic. It is found to be associated with almost all the ugly words and dirty jobs in the Arabic language. Its work is similar to the function of the dustbin, where all the house garbage is collected. From 285 root words begins with this letter, it is found that 85% of the words are carrying negative connotative or denotative meanings. To the best of the researchers’ knowledge – there is no similar letter found to play the same role, in any other language as this letter [ خ], does in Arabic. With this result the researchers can showhow rich and lively this language is. The Arabic language has ...

The solar potential of Djibouti and also the aim of the country to exploit 100% green energy in 2020 are the starting point of this work. The Linear Fresnel Collector technology for CSP seems to be one of the more interesting technologies for Djibouti due to the expected cost advantages and technical simplification.

To optimize energy conversion between BNA and the single fiber mode, the BNA is opened at the apex of a specially designed polymer fiber tip which acts as an efficient mediator (like a horn optical antenna) between the two systems. As a first application, we propose to use our device as polarizing electric-field nanocollector for scanning near-field optical microscopy (SNOM). However, this BNA-on-fiber probe may also find applications in nanolithography, addressing and telecommunications as well as in situ biological and chemical probing and trapping.

The proposed solution, based on a polishing technique, can readily produce any desired microaxicon cone angle and is independent of the nature of the fiber. An optical study of microaxicon performance, in terms of confinement ability and length of the generated Bessel-like beams, is presented as a function of the microaxicon angle. This study, made possible by the experimental acquisition of the 3D light distribution of the Bessel-like beams, reveals the relationship between the Bessel-like beam confinement zone and the beam length. Finally, the effect of diffraction of the Bessel-like beams, induced by the limited lateral extent of the incident fiber mode, is studied and discussed.

The system is achieved by connecting to scanning near-field optical microscope fiber tips an optical stage made up of commercial polarizers, fiber couplers, and polarization controllers. Using radially polarized Bessel beams as test objects, we demonstrate the ability of a three-channel fiber tip to simultaneously and independently probe the transverse vector components of the electric field (parallel to the sample surface) and the overall transverse intensity. The polarization ratio of the near-field collection system exceeds 1:1500. The system can be implemented in collection-mode or reflection-mode near-field microscope configurations, with various kinds of probe and light source (of high or low coherence lengths) for a deeper insight of light polarization effects and vector fields at a subwavelength scale.

Changes in available technology and subsequent increases in community-based participatory research (CBPR) have drastically improved the ability to address this issue. However, much still needs to be learned as these types of studies are expected to increase in the future. To assist, we review the literature in an effort to improve understanding of the motivations, approaches, and outcomes of air monitoring studies that incorporate CBPR and citizen science (CS) principles. We found that the primary motivations for conducting community-based air monitoring were concerns for air pollution health risks, residing near potential pollution sources, urban sprawl, living in "unmonitored" areas, and a general quest for improved air quality knowledge. Studies were mainly conducted using c...

The positive effect of positive oral messages is increased by emotions, like shouting or speaking slowly, but emojis may send positive messages which contradict the outcome of certain intended ideas about the message. Therefore, this study investigates whether emoji increase the relationship between the use of direct mood-specific emojis and indirect mood-specific emojis intended interpretation. Experimental analysis on focus group approach with emoji from two mobile messaging applications was conducted with 30 participants divided into control group and alerted group in different experimental sessions. The analysis of the findings indicates that most emoji use are suitable for expressing emotional sensations, but they do not create a time limit to which the emotions get associated with the sign. In addition, the interpretation of communication with multiple emoji in each experimental group interaction was significant, but emoji fail to express the impact on neutral and negative messages to a large degree. Hence, this study contributed to an understanding of the influence of multiple emoji interpretations on the intentionally evoked emotio
