Psychosocial factors have become specially important in the last years, thus studies about stress... more Psychosocial factors have become specially important in the last years, thus studies about stress and its consequences have shown the raise of health problems, specifically in working people. The first objective of the present research work is to determine the risk psychosocial factors to which the administration area workers of a chemistry sector enterprise are exposed to. The second objective is to propose alternatives that benefit the workers' health. For such purposes the Istas21 method was used. This method is employed to measure 6 large groups of psychosocial risk factors: Psychological restrictions, active work and development possibilities, insecurity, social support and leadership quality, double presence and esteem. The research was framed within a descriptive transactional design. From the 6 dimensions studied, 3 reflected unfavorable situations for the workers: Esteem, insecurity at work and psychological restrictions. From these results, it can be concluded that the psychosocial factors are not new at all; on the contrary, they have existed together with the work activity and its changes along the time, but it must be recognized that it is only in more recent periods that their relevance has been noticed.
