Data collection techniques consist of interviews and tests. This research type is quantitative descriptive with one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 23 students of class VIII SMP Piri 1 Yogyakarta. The results showed that after using IPA Interactive e-book, scientific literacy skills could increase significantly. The increase in students' scientific literacy skills in competency dimensions increased by 40% and it has increased by 30% in the knowledge dimension. The research and development model used Borg and Gall development model (1983). The procedure of this research consisted of: (1) preliminary study, (2) curriculum analysis, (3) creating product draft, (4) product draft validation by experts, (5) trial and product revision, and (6) dissemination. The subject of this research were teachers and elementary school students on Brebes, Tegal, Banyumas Regency and Tegal City. The research result included the report of research procedure phase one to phase four. The result of preliminary study showed that there were sexual violations to children on Brebes, Tegal, Banyumas Regency and Tegal City. The violations occurred at schools, their houses, and other people's houses. The perpetrators were teachers, neighbors, friends and family members of the elementary school students. Anti-sexual violation education was never be taught by teachers. There were no media which can be used to teach anti-violation education. The result of curriculum analysis phase demonstrated that the purposes of anti-violation education were: giving information about the forms of violations, how to identify actions directed at the violations, and preventing acts. Content packaging of information on anti-sexual violation education in the story related with learning material in elementary schools. Product planning stage contained product layouts, storyboards, and characterization. Product appropriateness assessment by validators presented with good category and it was appropriate to experiment at schools.

Are there differences in students' creative thinking skills and living values before and after using contextual physics learning models based on local potential? What is the increase in students' creative thinking skills and living values after using contextual physics learning models based on local potential? The study used a pre-experimental design, namely the pretest-posttest control group. Research instruments include tests to measure creative thinking skills and observation sheets to measure living values. The test subjects were Class XI students at one of the state high schools in Wonosobo Regency, Indonesia. Data analysis techniques are using different tests and normalized gain tests. The results showed that there were differences in the creative thinking skills and living values of students before and after using contextual physics learning models based on local potential significantly. Besides, the increase in creative thinking skills and living values respectively reached 25.9% (low) and 48.2% (moderate).

The research sample was 20 elementary school teachers in Central Java Province, Indonesia, representing senior teachers, master teachers, young teachers, and junior teachers. Data collection used depth interviews which were designed based on 10 powerful portfolio assessment principles. Qualitative data analysis was performed using interactive data analysis which included condensation data, display data, and conclusion. The results were showed that 6 of 10 principles of portfolio assessment were approved by the majority of teachers, while others were not. Scientific literacy is often used as one of the goals of learning science because scientific literacy reflects the ability of students to apply scientific knowledge possessed in daily life in different circumstances and situations. Scientific literacy consist of contexts, knowledge, competencies, and attitudes. This study is a quasi-experimental research using nonrandomized control group, pretest-posttest design. The study was conducted at three schools, each school representing high school, medium school, and low school. The results showed that the scientific literacy of students in the experimental class has increased higher than students in the control class, both at the high school, medium school, and low school categories. This research is a case study that seeks to reveal teachers' perceptions of portfolio assessm... more This research is a case study that seeks to reveal teachers' perceptions of portfolio assessment in primary schools in Indonesia. The research sample was 20 elementary school teachers in Central Java Province, Indonesia, representing senior teachers, master teachers, young teachers, and junior teachers. Data collection used depth interviews which were designed based on 10 powerful portfolio assessment principles. Qualitative data analysis was performed using interactive data analysis which included condensation data, display data, and conclusion. The results were showed that 6 of 10 principles of portfolio assessment were approved by the majority of teachers, while others were not. Two principles, namely the effectiveness of time and energy (principle 2) and portfolios as a new learning perspective (principle 8) are rejected by most teachers in Indonesia. The present study aimed to analysis the aftermath of science learning based on an integrated scie... more The present study aimed to analysis the aftermath of science learning based on an integrated scientific approach to local potential, onion agriculture, towards the science process skill of 7th grade of junior high school students. The study was a quasi-experimental research with non-equivalent control group design. The object of this experiment was all classes in the 7th grade of Wedarijaksa 2 junior high school. Cluster random sampling was used to gather the sample, as the result, two over seven classes were randomly chosen. Data that be used in the research were the result of science process skill test. Data were analyzed using One-way Anova. The result shows that there is a significant impact of science learning based on scientific approach to local potential, in this case is onion agriculture, towards process science skill of the students.
