Hans Bjelkhagen
Dr Hans I Bjelkhagen, Professor at the Ultra-realistic Imaging Centre, Glyndŵr Univ., located in North Wales, UK. He was awarded his Doctoral Degree in 1978 by the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. Previously Bjelkhagen has worked on holographic applications at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, at Fermilab in Batavia, IL and Northwestern Univ, IL, USA, at De Montfort Univ., Leicester, UK The most famous person recorded by Bjelkhagen in a hologram was President Ronald Reagan, recorded 1991. Bjelkhagen has published over 100 papers and two books: Silver-Halide Recording Materials for Holography and Their Processing, by Springer 1983/1985 and Ultra-Realistic Imaging, Advanced Techniques in Analogue and Digital Colour Holography, by CRC Press, 2013. Bjelkhagen is a member of OSA and a Fellow of the SPIE. In 2001 he received the RPS SAXBY AWARD and in 2011 the DENISYUK MEDAL, from the D.S. Rozhdestvensky Optical Society, Russia.
