The instructor acts as a guide, facilitating the learning journey without providing direct answers. PBL has proven to be effective in enhancing conceptual understanding, analytical skills, and a proactive attitude towards learning. This article describes the key principles, implementation stages, advantages, and challenges involved in employing PBL techniques in various educational environments. Strategi ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir analitis, penyelesaian masalah, dan kolaborasi melalui pengintegrasian kondisi sebenarnya dalam proses belajar mengajar. Dalam PBL, siswa diberikan pada masalah autentik relevan dengan materi pembelajaran, yang mendorong mereka untuk mengeksplorasi, menganalisis, dan merancang solusi secara mandiri maupun kelompok. Guru berperan sebagai fasilitator yang membimbing proses pembelajaran tanpa memberikan solusi langsung. PBL terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, kemampuan analitis, serta sikap belajar aktif.
