Our paper illustrates an overview of transport navigation services of user mobility, including mobility navigation life cycle, value propositions of user mobility, system architecture of navigation mobility, a specific SOA design approach and an integrated indoor and outdoor navigation case study. The case study seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor navigation services, which provide users with an optimal route in familiar and unfamiliar environments. We not only describe the overview of user mobility navigation, but also present a complete design approach of user mobility for system reusability and portability.

Public Cloud Adoption in Multinational Companies: A Survey

Big enterprises are continuously investing on Cloud technologies to streamline IT processes and substantially reduce the time to market of new services. The current Cloud service model enables companies, with a low initial investment, to easily test new services and technologies, like IoT and Big Data, on a "ready to go" virtualized infrastructure. However, large organizations are still facing multiple challenges in migrating business-critical services and sensitive data to Public Cloud environments. To investigate the current adoption of Public Cloud services, we interviewed IT managers and cloud architects of over sixty multinational organizations. The survey assesses both business and technical issues and requirements of current and future Cloud strategies. Our analysis shows that Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) are not yet perceived as fully able to address critical points in security, regulatory constraints and performance management. Hence, to control their public cloud services and to overcome such limitations, multinational organizations must adopt structured SLM approaches.

The process is conceived as a service chain that delivers services to customers by a glow that links a set of organizations. This concept implies a wider view of performance. The model includes all the performances that increase overall competitiveness (i.e. classic cost and efficiency indicators are integrated by effectiveness indicators, that measure service level and quality). Second, the model considers the different stakeholders involved in a process: management, customers and operators. The model maps the performance indicators on these perspectives. This multiple perspective can be used in benchmarking and diagnosis to evaluate an existing process or to design a new process.

NavApp: An indoor navigation application: A smartphone application for libraries

INSs deal with the peculiarities of indoor environments (no GPS, navigation XYZ, etc.). This paper, based on a previous research, sketches an ideal profile of an INS, which should be as independent as possible from a pre-deployed infrastructure. We also present a use-case, i.e. a navigation in a big university library; such app, called NavApp, guides users in locating the books in the library shelves for picking or storing, by using Magnetic Fields, and fusing installed sensors, when available. NavApp covers the whole mobility lifecycle, namely mapping and positioning using, path planning, en-route assistance; its field-tests show an 86% success. Hence, NavApp looks attractive, because it is lightweight and does not require a pre-deployed infrastructure. However, it needs preparation phase, to create the map of magnetic fields and calibrate smartphones.

It is so happy that it freely self -seeds. A similar naturalization was also successful with some mountain species from China and nearby areas, such as Osmanthus heterophyllus, Trachycarpus fortunei (that is becoming a silvicultural pest), and camellias such as C. reticulata, C. saluenensis, C. yunnanensis, and some rarer species such as C. yuhsienensis, that you can see here in full blossom in Villa Motta [4]. Densely camellia populated areas include the surroundings of Geneva, the countryside of Tuscany, and various areas in southern Italy, such as Naples. Among these, the areas most densely populated by camellias are the sub alpine lakes, 59 kilometres north of Milan. They include, west to east, the lakes Orta, Maggiore, Lugano, Varese, Como, Iseo and Garda. Here, especially on Lago Maggiore, that is both in Italy and Switzerland, camellias enjoy the light, acid soil and the generous rai...

The requirement of collecting, storing, processing, and sharing of the Big Data has led to massive software resources being developed and made accessible as web-based services to facilitate such process. These services that handle the Big Data come from various domains and heterogeneous networks, and converge into a huge complicated service network (or ecosystem), called the Big Service. The key issue facing the big data and big service ecosystem is how to optimally configure and operate the related service resources to serve the specific requirements of possible applications, i.e., how to reuse the existing service resources effectively and efficiently to develop the new applications or software services, to meet the massive individualized requirements of end-users.Based on analyzing the big service ecosystem, we present in this paper a new paradigm for software servic...

The first dimension is the range of performance measures that include quality, service and cost. The second one is given by the process stakeholders, who include management, customers and operators. In our view a process is sustainable if the entire range of performance is acceptable to each class of stakeholder. This multidimensional modelling enables the analyst to define a holistic measure of process performance, and it can be used both to analyze an existing process and to design a new one.
SLA-aware broker for Public Cloud

One of the main challenge of this paradigm is the monitoring of the actual services performance offered by different Cloud service providers. For this reason, service level management plays a central role to ensure the quality of services in Public Cloud and requires a structured approach to support the migration of critical services and sensitive data. This paper presents a conceptual SLA-aware broker, acting as a centralized control point between consumers and Cloud providers, to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of business services running on different Public Cloud environments. A case study implementation in a global telecommunication company demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed solution.

Among them, social networks can play a big role, if information veracity is assessed. Veracity assessment has been, and is, a rather popular research field. Specifically, our work investigates the credibility of data from Twitter, an online social network and a news media, by considering not only credibility, and type, but also origin. Our analysis proceeds in four phases: Features Extraction, Features Analysis, Features Selection, and Classification. Finally, we classify whether a Tweet is credible or incredible, is rumor or spam, is generated by a human or a Bot. We use Social Media Mining and Machine Learning techniques. Our analysis reaches an overall accuracy higher than the benchmark, and it adds the origin dimension to the credibility analysis method.
