Social dynamics and cultural identity become the markers of an increasingly persuasive media discourse. The history of a regional radio (Radio Romania Regional) with emphasis on Radio România Oltenia Craiova is both an argument of the "increase and decrease" of the media impact on the market as well as an eloquent case in this social dynamic. The case study diachronically and synchronically presents the audience value in the area, the regional radio consumer profile and it propounds solutions to ensure the primacy on the broadcasting market. The target is a return to the cultural value of the regional radio while considering it a brand of the region. The essential role of regional radio is to contribute to the preservation of cultural identity in the context of globalization, therefore identifying the area and "the voice" of regional media.

The first is that of immediate impact, on the first level of perception, amendable in its circumstantial data. The second world is the treasurer of recognizable factors in many similar situations, in stages different from manifestation (circumscribing generations) and elements of the unique, the unusual. The second level has established itself as a human need to periodically immerse in the sacred time. The initiation into the mysteries held by the world of the sacred is made by those who know how to practice it. They are the perfomers of narrative sequences, which are intended to reinstate the practices, rituals, customs, traditions and beliefs in today's world. To support our claim, we are going to refer to four surveys, conducted on different, but conjunct topics which have confirmed the hypothesis formulated by us in the early 1990s: folk beliefs, ignored during the communist period and banned within the audiovisual, have merged with religious beliefs and have survived as a second level of perceiving the ritual sequence. The study highlights the syncretism of the two fields, religious faith and folk beliefs, and the role of mass media in promoting them in order to revitalize the collective memory (what was known) and to contribute to the literacy of the younger generation. The principles of the Orthodox Christian catechesis explain the presence of the priest in the existential ceremonies. Key Words: rites of passage, the "threshold" moment, the principles of the Orthodox Christian catechesis, cultural consumption, public radio and promoting traditions and religious beliefs.

Hence, the acute need of authenticity and the tendency of intensifying the journalistic approaches, reminding sometimes of the neorealist trend in cinematography. Reconstituting the present is the topic of a constant oscillation between hyperaesthetic and anti-hyperaesthetic (in order to avoid the idyllic evocation), real-imaginary (as it is and as it was the functioning of variants in which folk creations and implicitly, folk reconstitutions being considered as inevitable), objectivity-bias (negative journalism being a side of a practice that becomes more and more aggressive). The reconstitution of the present in the rural space implies difficulties in selecting the identification marks: topic, characters and symbolic space. Their approach is carried out through the respect of life ritualization, having as a central focus point the identity issue and the study of social relationships. At a brief analysis of human resources employed directly in radiophonic production at Regional Radio Romania we arrived at the following data that can give us a clue on the profile of the journalist at the regional public radio: The demographic profile of the public results from the audience surveys carried out at national level and analyzed by Gold Group of the Romanian Society of Radio-broadcasting. The Editorial Profile. The regional public radio and the public radio specialized in reflecting rural civilization are the promoters of keeping an archive, of maintaining the authentic musical record library with the help of which we can reconstitute the spiritual profile for the Romanian rural environment and with the help of which we can reconstruct "the social face"(Erving Goffman). Oral history has the greatest impact by radiophonic broadcasts, because it is based upon the creation of empathy, an immediate reaction to direct style. It constitutes itself as identity discourse. Identity and memory are inter-conditioned. Collective memory is a meta-memory, a complex social representation. It is a model of valuation, endowed with a role of community pedagogy (M. Halbwachs). Radiophonic broadcasts on the rural environment are a memorial story and constitute themselves in a projection of identity. Through them, through the tendency of recovery of patterns, society can avoid and win over the identity crisis. Click here and insert your abstract text.
